Following a leg injury last week, quarterback Kyler Murray was questionable to play in Week 17. He has since been cleared to play with the Cardinals needing a win. Arizona currently sits at 8-7 and No. 8 in the NFC. This means they are just outside the playoffs and need both a win and a Chicago Bears loss to get in. They will be without wide receiver Christian Kirk, which is a big loss when facing this Rams defense. These two teams met a few weeks ago, and the result was a 38-28 loss for Arizona. The two turnovers by Murray proved to be costly, and losing one of this top receiving weapons won’t make things any easier the second time around.
The Rams are No. 6 in the NFC with a 9-6 record. However, they are not safe. A Bears win and a loss to the Cardinals would knock them out of the playoffs. So, they have plenty to play for and even more obstacles in their way. This offense is going to look very, very different than what we saw all season. So far, they have Jared Goff, Cooper Kupp and Darrell Henderson ruled out, with Cam Akers listed as questionable. John Wolford will be starting at quarterback for Sean McVay. We last saw Wolford in the AAF with the Arizona Hotshots, where he earned a couple Player of the Week honors. Defensively the Rams will be without Michael Brockers, which is a massive loss up front. Given the injuries to this team, they must win the line of scrimmage on both offense and defense to win.
