Colts vs Bills Game Info
Indianapolis Colts (11-5, 5-3 Away) vs. Buffalo Bills (13-3, 7-1 Home)
Date: Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021
Time: 1:05 p.m. EST
Venue: Bills Stadium – Orchard Park, NY
Coverage: CBS
After inconsistent play to begin the year, Indianapolis found their stride in the second half of the season, as they got rookie Jonathan Taylor running over defenders. Taylor totaled 741 rushing yards over the final six games of the season, while adding another 96 yards as a receiver. His success will be vital to the Colts winning this game, as the Bills allow 4.6 yards per carry, which is tied for the seventh-most in the league. Defensively, the Colts began the year looking elite, but they have stumbled, at times, down the stretch. They allowed a 300-yard passer in four of the final five weeks. Facing the explosive offense of Buffalo, this could be the difference in the game.
The Colts must find a way to limited the Bills’ passing game, but it will be easier said than down. Josh Allen completed over 70% of his passes for 1,516 yards, 15 touchdowns and two interceptions over the final five games of the season. Along with that, Allen also ran for 110 yards and two more touchdowns. This offense is peaking at the right time. While both Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley are labeled as questionable for Saturday’s game, it’s tough to imagine them practicing and not playing. After welcoming back John Brown in Week 17, getting Beasley back would put these three on the field together for the first time since Week 10. This offense is downright scary, shown by their 56 points last week in a game they didn’t even need to win.
