Wizards Moneyline (-170) Over Pistons; Over 218.5 Points

While neither team enters the game in good form, bettors are getting a pretty good price on the Wizards to win. Detroit has lost seven straight, and they have not won on the road since beating the Kings on Jan. 19. Defense continues to be a major issue for the Pistons. They have been outscored by more than 17 points during their current losing streak, as they are allowing over 121 points and an 56.7% effective field goal percentage. Moreover, they are the worst road team in the league.

Washington has been in a tailspin and remains shorthanded, with Daniel Gafford, Kristaps Porzingis and Bradley Beal having been ruled out. The Wizards have lost three of five and are just 9-15 in their last 24 games. Still, they are only half a game from the final playoff spot. The Wizards also have been awful defensively lately, with their opponents compiling an effective field goal percentage of 54% over the last 10 games. Kyle Kuzma has been playing his best basketball since the calendar turned to 2022, and the Wizards have shot the ball well at home this year. Plus, they have done fairly well against teams with a sub-.500 record (10-9). Furthermore, the Wizards defeated the Pistons 119-116 earlier in Detroit behind 26 points from Kuzma. Awesemo projects that slightly over 219 points will be scored in this game.

Kings Moneyline (-130) Over Nets; Under 228.5 Points

Sacramento comes into the game with renewed vigor, as they have won two straight and three of four. This short stint has coincided with De’Aaron Fox’s return from injury list and the Kings’ trade deadline deal for Domantas Sabonis. With the arrival of Sabonis, Fox has been able to concentrate on getting to the hoop, with over half his over 20 shots a game coming within nine feet. Fox has scored at least 26 points in each of his last games, averaging 27.3 points and two 3-pointers on nearly 50% shooting from the field and 42.9% from beyond the arc. Sabonis has been very efficient and gives the Kings’ a rebounder and low-post scorer who can make plays from the interior and perimeter. Sabonis averaged 19 points, 12.5 rebounds and six assists over his two games with the team. Meanwhile, Barnes has been on fire over his last six games, nailing 64.1% of his shots from the field and 47.8% from the 3-point line. Sacramento is 4-2 in February, and they have an offensive rating of 118.5 and a defensive rating of 115.5 while posting an effective field goal percentage of 57.7%.

Brooklyn has lost 11 straight and will be without Kyrie Irving for this one since the team is playing at home. So the big question is, where are the Nets going to find points? The Nets have been really deficient in all facets during this losing streak, particularly at home. In their three games at the Barclay Center during this stretch, the Nets have been outscored by over 17 points a game, as they average 101.73 points while shooting less than 43% from the field and 31.5% from long distance. Turnovers also have been a huge problem for them.

Cole Anthony Over 17.5 Points

Anthony has shot the ball well from deep lately, draining 3 3-pointers in each of his last three games while shooting 51.6% from beyond the arc for the month. He has tallied 17 or more points in five of his last seven outings while averaging 17.7 points, 6.1 assists and 5.3 rebounds in February. Furthermore, Anthony lit up the Nuggets for 24 points in the team’s earlier meeting, and he has played better on the road than at home all season long. Anthony is projected for 17.7 points.
