Hawks Moneyline (-125) Over Raptors: Over 226.5 Points

This has the potential to be an outstanding game. Both teams are missing key players, with OG Anunoby (finger) being ruled out for the Raptors, and the Hawks’ John Collins sidelined for the fifth straight game. However, the more significant issue for Atlanta may be the health of De’Andre Hunter (illness), who averages 20 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 42.9% from the 3-point line against the Raptors this year. Toronto has won both matchups against Atlanta this year.

Atlanta is at home, where they have been pretty good lately, having won 9 of their last 11 with a +7.2 scoring margin at State Farm Arena. The Hawks have been magnificent at home offensive during this stretch averaging 120 points while shooting 51.2% from the field and 40.2% from beyond the arc as they have canned 14.1 triples a game during this stretch. Trae Young leads the way with over 28 points a game at home, and Bogdan Bogdanovic has upped his production to 15.2 points there since January 1.

Toronto comes into the contest scuffling as they have lost three of their last four and are coming off a disappointing 123-91 blowout loss to Charlotte last night. Scottie Barnes led the way for Toronto with 28 points, but the Raptors allowed the Hornets to shoot 55.3% from the field and drain 15 3-pointers at a 37.5% clip. The Raptors have struggled to defend the 3-point line this year, allowing their opponents to drain over 35% of their attempts from long distance. Moreover, Toronto is less efficient offensively and  6-10 overall in games that Anunoby has missed this year. OddsShopper gives Atlanta a 58% chance of winning the game.

Wizards Spread (+8.0) Over Cavaliers

While Cleveland is the better team, they enter the game on a three-game losing streak. The Cavaliers also will be without three key members of their backcourt with Rajon Rondo (toe) joining Caris LeVert and Darius Garland on the sidelines. Cleveland is 4-4 overall in February with just a +0.3 scoring margin.

Meanwhile, Washington hasn’t played too bad recently. The Wizards have split their last six games, although they are coming off a long, hard-fought double-overtime (157-153) loss to San Antonio. However, the Wiz have won five of their eight back-to-back games while being outscored by less than one point in those contests. They also have 15 wins against teams with a winning record and have faired extremely well against the Eastern Conference’s top teams. Moreover, Washington has taken two of the three matchups against Cleveland this year.

Spurs Spread (+8.5) Over Heat

Miami has won seven of their last eight games, and San Antonio is 4-1 in their previous five. While it would be a surprise if the Spurs were able to pull off the road upset, the spread is just too high to go with Miami. The Heat have been excellent on the defensive end this month, although they only have a +6.0 scoring margin at home.  Meanwhile, the Spurs have been fantastic on the offensive end in February, and they tend to be a touch better defensively in games after no rest. San Antonio is 6-6 with a + 2.6 scoring margin in the second leg of back-to-back contests.

Jeff Green Over 8.5 Points

Green has struggled in his last two outings as he finished with just seven points against the Kings on Thursday though he did launch nine shots, including four from long distance. Green has averaged nearly 10 points a game over his last 10 contests overall, thanks in large part to making two free throws a game during this stretch as he is shooting them at a 92% clip. He has shot the ball well against the Kings this year, totaling 25 points on 55.6% shooting from the floor. Plus, Green has played well at home this year. He is projected for 11.47 points tonight. OddsShopper gives the over a 70% chance of hitting with an expected ROI 27%.
