Top 5 FanDuel NBA DFS Picks Today
5. Terry Rozier, Charlotte Hornets
Rozier is projected for 35 fantasy points and has a goal of 41. He is in the optimal line 28% of the time, which is a good indication of his potential performance. Rozier is a point guard/shooting guard, and he’s priced at $7,500. He has a fantastic matchup against the Detroit Pistons, who are one of the worst teams in the league. Additionally, the Hornets may not have P.J. Washington in the game, which could mean more minutes for Rozier. He’s projected to play for 35 minutes, and he averages a fantasy point per minute. His usage rate is 22%, and he averages 20.5 points, five rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 stocks per game.
Although his stat line is standard, he has multi-positional eligibility and the best matchup on the slate. Rozier is priced a little high, but he’s a good contrarian play, as people may not love him as much as they should.

4. Jalen Brunson, New York Knicks
Brunson is projected for 40 fantasy points and has a goal of 46. He’s in the optimal line 28% of the time at $8,400. He’s projected to play for 37 minutes and averages 1.1 fantasy points per minute. He averages 25 real points on 28% usage, six assists, 3.5 rebounds and a stock per game. Although the matchup against the Knicks is tough, Brunson is a great player and is expected to have a competitive game. He’s likely to get significant minutes, especially since there is nobody else on the Knicks that’s going to take minutes from him. Brunson has upside in this game, and it’s a great spot with a great matchup. This is a four-game slate, so there isn’t a lot of wiggle room, making Brunson a great value pick for today’s game.
3. Jaden Ivey, Detroit Pistons
Ivey is projected for 30 FanDuel points at a salary of $6,000. He is expected to play 30 minutes per game and is in the optimal lineup 30% of the time. The matchup against the Hornets is favorable, as their defense is not very good and the Pistons gain three possessions over their average by taking on the Hornets. This is a nice pace-up spot for the Pistons, and Ivey has a 25% usage rate, making him a solid pick for DFS. He averages around a fantasy point per minute in this matchup and can contribute in various categories, including points, assists, rebounds and stocks. While his salary is not flexible and he lacks multi-position eligibility, he’s a good value pick for those looking to add exposure to the Hornets-Pistons game.

2. Brandon Ingram, New Orleans Pelicans
Ingram is projected for around 40 points with a goal of 45, and he makes the optimal lineup 32% of the time. He’s averaging 35 minutes a night and 1.1 fantasy points per minute, making him an intriguing option with the absence of Zion Williamson. Ingram’s 31% usage rate and his potential for five assists, six rebounds and a stock make him a valuable asset. The matchup against Orlando is pace neutral, and with the Pelicans favored by 4, it should be competitive the whole way through. Although the price tag is fair, raw points matter on a short slate and Ingram is capable of producing 30-plus points.
1. Killian Hayes, Detroit Pistons
Hayes’ projection of 29 points is just shy of his goal of 31 points. He is also in the optimal lineup 42% of the time, with a projected playing time of 30 minutes per game. Although he is not the most efficient scorer (just 11 points), he compensates with his 6.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and two stocks per game. The matchup against the Hornets provides a great opportunity for Hayes, as they have a poor defense and this game has a high pace. While there is some uncertainty around Hayes’ performance with Bojan Bogdanovic in the game, Hayes remains the No. 1 pick on this FanDuel NBA DFS slate.
