NBA Daily Fantasy Picks Based on Awesemo Grades & Values | 10/27/21

It is Wednesday, which means a packed NBA daily fantasy slate. Tonight there are 10 games on the schedule and plenty of NBA DFS injury news yet to come out, so be sure to check the Awesemo NBA Starting Lineups page to see who is in, who is out and who is starting as news breaks, and look at the NBA DFS rankings and projections for both DraftKings and FanDuel lineups tonight.

NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | Oct. 27

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. Initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

PG Fred VanVleet — Grades: A, A | Values: B, A

Pascal Siakam continues to be out for the Raptors, meaning Fred VanVleet needs to lead the Toronto offense. He did exactly that last game, with 17 assists and 15 points. With the Pacers likely controlling the paint with their bigs in tonight’s matchup, this looks to be a game where VanVleet will take over as a scorer. Indiana ranks middle of the road in defense against his position, so the matchup is a decent one. Awesemo’s projections love VanVleet tonight, giving him a ceiling of well over 60 points and a relatively high floor.

PG Damian Lillard — Grades: A, A | Values: C, A

Damian Lillard is a much better play on FanDuel than DraftKings tonight due to him being $1,200 cheaper over there. This makes him too good to completely ignore, as he has become cheaper than C.J. McCollum somehow. While the performances thus far justify the pricing change, this very well could be the cheapest price Lillard will be all season, and it would be foolish not to take advantage. He has been bad, but he faces a Memphis team that ranks dead last in defensive efficiency this season (116.3). This game has the highest projected total of the night.

C Robert Williams — Grades: B, A | Values: A, A

Robert Williams always has a high ceiling due to his ability to rack up blocks quickly. His floor is also high due to his consistent minutes and production. Tonight he faces a Wizards team that was terrible against centers last year. They have faced only one true starting center this season, which was Myles Turner, and he put up a 40-point double-double. Williams’s play demands some exposure, as Awesemo’s projections are calling for nearly 40 NBA daily fantasy points from him.

PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander — Grades: B, B | Values: A, A

Everyone patiently waited for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to give a fantasy stud performance, as he did so often last season. He has now done that two games in a row, scoring 29 and 30 real points in each game. Both he and his opponent tonight are on the second leg of a back-to-back, though it seems more likely that the Lakers will sit some players. This makes for an easier matchup tonight, as Gilgeous-Alexander looks to keep pace with Russell Westbrook, who will surely get up for a game against his former team. Gilgeous-Alexander is still priced too low given what he has done recently. Awesemo’s projections expect over a fantasy point per minute from him tonight, and he is projected for 34.7 minutes.
