On the second leg of a back-to-back, Russell Westbrook is a clear candidate to sit, due to load management. We recently saw just how high Bradley Beal’s ceiling is, scoring 60 real points. In the two games without Westbrook this season, Beal had a usage rate above 36% in each. However, he has had a usage rate above 40% in back-to-back games, putting up a total of 64 shots in these two games, while also totaling eight assists. Beal will shot however much he pleases tonight. There is a very high floor and no ceiling.

Clint Capela vs. Hornets: $7,000/$6,500
25.4% DraftKings Boom/49.0% FanDuel Boom
Clint Capela comes in at a reasonable price on both DraftKings and FanDuel, despite having a positive matchup with the Charlotte Hornets. Despite the low usage rate, Capela has been solid, thanks to his tenacity on the boards. He has averaged just over a half rebound per minute over his past five games. Awesemo has Capela projected for about 30 minutes today. Scoring 12 or more points in three of his last four games, he is an easy double-double candidate today. If he adds defensive stats to the box score, he has a good chance to be a “boom” play in DFS.
Dejounte Murray vs. Timberwolves: $6,900/$7,100
27.4% DraftKings Boom/37.2% FanDuel Boom
With Derrick White remaining out for the Spurs, the opportunity is there for Dejounte Murray to have a big game. The matchup against D’Angelo Russell and the Timberwolves is also a positive one. Murray has logged high minutes, playing 30+ in all but one game this season. He has also put up 13+ shots in each of his last five games. With Minnesota being an overall poor team all around, someone like Murray, who adds points in all categories, really thrives. He has the ability to grab a bunch of rebounds, due to missed shots, while also score and set teammates up to score.
NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Tyrese Haliburton vs. Trail Blazers: $5,800/$5,400
74.8% DraftKings Bust/58.5% FanDuel Bust
De’Aaron Fox has been limited in the past two games, due to hamstring tightness, but this typical workload should be back to normal tonight. This directly affects Tyrese Haliburton, who has put up two big performances with his increased workload. Because of this, his salary has risen. This happens at the same time as his role reducing at least slightly, which could easily cause him to be a bust.
