Boom/Bust NBA Fantasy Projections | March 21

NBA DraftKings + FanDuel Boom Candidates

James Harden vs. Wizards: $10,900/$11,300

31.7% DraftKings Boom/34.0% FanDuel Boom

Facing off against former teammate Russell Westbrook, expect Harden to bring his A-game. It will be the first time sharing a court with Westbrook since they were teammates in Houston. Harden has hit value at this price in five of his past seven games. He also rarely only hits value; when Harden has a great game, he usually blows past it. With the amount of missed shots Washington is prone to, Harden very clearly has triple-double potential today.

Nikola Jokic vs. Pelicans: $10,500/$11,000

32.2% DraftKings Boom/33.9% FanDuel Boom

This is the first time Jokic is facing off against the Pelicans this season. However, we can look at his stats against Steven Adams last season when he was with Oklahoma City. Jokic had a good performance in all three games and crushed value in two of them. Adams is a solid anchor to a defense, but Jokic has the ability to play on the perimeter where Adams will either refuse or struggle to follow him out there. The same is true again today, which is why we see such a high boom probability for Jokic today.

Moses Brown vs. Rockets: $4,800/$4,300

66.6% DraftKings Boom/84.2% FanDuel Boom

Al Horford is out again today, and Darius Bazley continues to be out. This makes Brown obnoxiously underpriced. He faces a weak Houston team today. The last time Brown started he played 30 minutes, had a 26% usage rate and finished with a 20-point, 16-rebound double-double. The Thunder will go to him often again today, making him the best value on the slate.

NBA DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates

Norman Powell vs. Cavaliers: $7,100/$7,800

69.9% DraftKings Bust/71.7% FanDuel Bust

The Raptors continue to get healthier, and Powell’s last performance is more of what we can expect going forward. He had a good game, finishing with 17 points and 5 rebounds. However, his price continues to be inflated from when Toronto was without three of their starters. With all three back, Powell doesn’t have the usage rate to justify this price point.
