With Super Bowl 56 behind us, the world leans on the NBA to provide the most entertainment moving forward! This is a great night to adventure into the NBA DFS streets as we have a nine-game fantasy basketball slate filled with high-scoring matchups. This article will feature four options driven by Awesemo’s NBA DFS Rankings. If you are new to NBA DFS, it is critical to stay up to date with the news. DraftKings & FanDuel NBA Fantasy Basketball Rankings

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. The initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

SG Quentin Grimes — Grades: C, C | Values: A, C

Quentin Grimes is priced at the stone minimum on DraftKings after starting in the last two Knicks games and averaging 34 minutes per game. RJ Barrett and Derrick Rose continue to be out while Cam Reddish is questionable to play tonight. His price on FanDuel is quite high, but this DraftKings salary makes no sense. He is coming off of a 20-point game where he made five 3-pointers. It was the third time this season that Grimes made five or more 3-pointers. The rookie from Houston is a fantastic salary saver on DraftKings.

Grimes is popping everyone on DraftKings by a landslide. He has the highest boom percentage in Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool. He is coming in with double the ownership of anyone else in Awesemo’s ownership projections. Grimes is impossible to ignore and makes a fantastic play in a stars and scrubs build. The only concern is this ridiculously low-scoring matchup against the Thunder. This game has by far the lowest total on the slate at 206 points. The Knicks are 8-point home favorites despite losing 11 of their last 14 games. Prioritize Grimes on DraftKings, where he is the best play on the slate.

SF Kyle Kuzma — Grades: A, B | Values: C, A

Arguably the best play on FanDuel is Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma. This is a perfect matchup to target Kuzma, especially from a rebounding perspective. The Pistons rank last in rebounding percentage this season, while Kuzma is averaging a career-high 8.7 rebounds per game. The Wizards are playing without newly acquired Kristaps Porzingis and Daniel Gafford. Montrezl Harrell was traded, so they are lacking frontcourt players tonight. Luckily, the Pistons do not pose too big of a threat with their interior presence.

Kuzma has posted back-to-back games of over 45 DraftKings points, one of which he had a triple-double. A double-double is firmly in play in this matchup, but Kuzma has also bumped his assist numbers since Spencer Dinwiddie left town. Still playing without Bradley Beal, this is Kuzma’s team for the near future. The Pistons rank 26th in defensive rating and 10th in pace this season. Despite being a 218.5 game total, that is the second-lowest on the slate. Kuzma is drawing the most ownership of anyone on the slate for FanDuel according to Awesemo’s ownership projections.

C Mo Bamba — Grades: C, C | Values: A, A

The price tag on Mo Bamba continues to slide, but the upside still remains incredibly high. Over the last four games, Bamba is averaging 10.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 26.8 DraftKings points per game. Bamba is popping like crazy in Awesemo’s Boom/Bust Tool, where he has the highest boom percentage on FanDuel and the second-highest on DraftKings. Awesemo projects Bamba to also be the best value on FanDuel and the third-best on DraftKings tonight, despite only being projected for 26.6 minutes. The salary has simply fallen too low for what Bamba can bring to the table.

Playing against Nikola Jokic is never a fun task, but that could help the playing time of Bamba tonight. Bamba still has his blocking upside and has been fairly good at not getting into too much foul trouble lately. He ranks fifth in the league in blocks, averaging a career-high 1.9 per game. Bamba is also averaging a career-high in points, rebounds and 3-point percentage this season. In his fourth year, Bamba is showcasing his upside. The Magic are 11-point road underdogs implied for only 106.75 points, which is tied for the second-lowest on the slate, but Bamba provides value.

SF DeMar DeRozan — Grades: A, A | Values: C, B

With so much value on this slate, getting action in this Bulls and Spurs game is a necessity. This matchup features the highest total on the slate at 234 points, as the Bulls are only favored by 3.5 points at home. The Bulls are without Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso and most importantly Zach LaVine tonight. That will open the door for DeMar DeRozan, who has been absolutely fantastic this season. He is averaging a career-high 27.7 points per game while shooting 51.2% from the field and a career-high 33.7% from behind the arc.

DeRozan is scoring at an insane clip right now. He has scored more than 30 points in six-straight games while averaging a usage rate of 37.7% per game. He has not scored fewer than 45 DraftKings points in 14-straight games. He provides upside and a high ceiling. Awesemo projects DeRozan to come in third in fantasy points, despite having a much cheaper salary than most of the expensive options. The Spurs rank fifth in pace this season, allowing 111.6 points per game. DeRozan should feast in this matchup, especially without LaVine. In 10 games without LaVine in the lineup, DeRozan is averaging a whopping 33.1 points while attempting 22.9 field goal attempts per game. He is a fantastic pay-up option.
