NFL DFS Lineup Advice Week 16: Answering the Quarterback Question

It’s an interesting week for the 9-game main slate on DraftKings, with our NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 16 not favoring any single quarterback above the rest.

Oftentimes when running simulations, we find a quarterback in over 20 percent of lineups. That’s not the case this week, with ownership spread out across the position.

We understand not everyone looking for NFL DFS lineup advice has the time to watch every show, read every breakdown and input data into optimizers. Perhaps you’re still getting a feel for NFL DFS and aren’t quite ready to give NFL Sims a try.

It all starts with picking three main options. First, you’ll choose the DFS slate of your choice: DraftKings main, DraftKings Showdown, FanDuel main or FanDuel single game.

Then it’s time to choose your stack setting. You can choose ‘All Stack Types’ to leave options open, or you can get more specific with what you’re looking for by choosing one-man stacks, two-man stacks plus runback options.

Finally, let Lineup Generator know what kind of build you’re going for: All, Chalky, Balanced or Contrarian.

We’re going back to the well with Two Man Stacks for the DraftKings Main slate. As always, we stick with contrarian lineups as we target GPPs.

Here’s a breakdown of our most popular players in our 20 saved lineups.

What’s the takeaway out of all that? There’s no main quarterback standing out. That’s not totally surprising when seeing the ownership this week. Only two quarterbacks are projecting for double-digit ownership. We have eight quarterbacks in our player pool for 20 lineups. The most popular options are Justin Fields and Baker Mayfield at 15 percent each.

That fits, as multiple Bears and Buccaneers are part of the most-owned players in our saved lineups.

You’ll notice some chalky options, such as Chuba Hubbard. It’s OK to play popular players, as long as you’re finding leverage elsewhere.

Let’s take a look below at an example of one of our contrarian lineups.

CeeDee Lamb, Mike Evans and Dontayvion Wicks won’t sneak up on anyone this week, but we have single-digit options in Cade Otto (to pair with Mayfield) and Treylon Burks to go with them.

These exposures are based completely off my settings. You can change between lineup builds and save lineups along the way. In total, I had 20 lineups saved in roughly five minutes.
