OwnersBox NFL DFS Strategy: Top Quarterback Plays for Week 16’s Main Slate

The SuperFlex format on OwnersBox NFL DFS makes it extremely important to get quarterbacks and their stacking partners correct since you’re likely to be rostering two players from the position. SuperFlex DFS also causes the best DFS plays at quarterback to be higher owned, but when the value is there it can be hard to fade.

OwnersBox NFL DFS Strategy: Top Quarterbacks

Given the importance of finding standout QBs, let’s take a look at the best quarterbacks for NFL Week 16 using Stokastic’s custom OwnersBox NFL DFS projections.

OwnersBox DFS Quarterback Plays

Justin Field, $7,200

Fields has the highest projection (20.16 fantasy points) of any quarterback on the slate. He has an incredible matchup this week with a Cardinals defense that has given up the third-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the past 5 weeks. And the stacking options are straightforward, with DJ Moore ($6,600), Cole Kmet ($4,300) and Darnell Mooney ($3,600) providing partners in every price range.

Dak Prescott, $7,400

Prescott faces the Dolphins in the game with the highest total of the entire week. The matchup isn’t idea, as the Dolphins have given up the third-fewest schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the past 5 weeks, but the Cowboys can throw on anyone and the tough matchup is offset by the fact that it is expected to be a close, high-scoring game. Prescott also has very strong pairing partners in CeeDee Lamb ($7,600), Jake Ferguson ($4,400), Brandin Cooks ($4,700), and even running back Tony Pollard ($6,000).

Nick Mullens, $5,800

Mullens is the best point-per-dollar play of any quarterback on the slate. He faces a Lions defense that started strong, but has now given up the 7th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the past 5 weeks. And of course, Mullens has one of the best groups of pass catchers in the entire NFL in Justin Jefferson ($7,500), T.J. Hockenson ($5,000), and Jordan Addison ($5,700).

Geno Smith, $6,000

Smith faces a Titans defense that has been a bit better against the pass in recent weeks, giving up just the 17th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the past 5 weeks. Still, for the season the Titans remain a pass funnel, as they are ranked 27th in pass DVOA and 11th in run DVOA. And Smith has strong, relatively inexpensive stacking partners in DK Metcalf ($6,200), Tyler Lockett ($5,500), and Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($4,500).
