NFL DFS Picks: Quarterback

Trey Lance (San Francisco) – With Brock Purdy sitting out this game, Lance will reportedly see up to a half in this game. With his excellent mobility, he tops the quarterback list today.

Jake Haener (New Orleans) – Derek Carr doesn’t expect to play much if at all. This leaves Jameis Winston and Jake Haener on the roster. As a rookie quarterback, Haener should receive at least a half of football.

Aidan O’Connell (Las Vegas) – Jimmy Garoppolo projects to sit, but Las Vegas still has three healthy quarterbacks on the roster. Of this group, rookie Aidan O’Connell should play the most as they evaluate him for a potential backup role.

NFL DFS Picks: Running Back

Tyrion Davis-Price (San Francisco) – Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell are not likely to play in this game. The team has four running backs on the roster, but Jeremy McNichols only joined the team on Aug. 8. A third-round pick from 2022, Tyrion Davis-Price should play plenty as he battles Jordan Mason for a roster spot. Khalan Laborn is an interesting late option as well.

Deneric Prince (Kansas City) – The starters in Kansas City will play somewhere between a drive and a quarter. With that said, Isiah Pacheco will not suit up at all. With Jerick McKinnon expected to play just a series, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, La’Mical Perine and Deneric Prince will handle a majority of the work. Of this group, Prince has received the most praise in camp.

React App

Ellis Merriweather (New Orleans) – Thin at running back, New Orleans is only carrying four players at the position. Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams are veterans and do not project to play much. Kendre Miller is a rookie coming off a knee injury, but he should play a fair amount. Ellis Merriweather will close out this game and receive ample opportunity.

Sincere McCormick (Las Vegas) – Josh Jacobs and Britain Brown are not playing. The Raiders signed Damien Harris on Friday and he might not play either. This leaves four backs on the roster. However, Ameer Abdullah plays a pass catching role. Brandon Bolden is a special teamer. Zamir White currently sits atop the depth chart and doesn’t project to play as much. This leaves Sincere McCormick as the highest-projected back in this situation.

NFL DFS Picks: Wide Receiver

Tre Tucker (Las Vegas) – The Raiders project to use seven or eight wide receivers, depending on the status of Jakobi Meyers. Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow and Chris Lacy were all injured at the end of the week. The two receivers getting the most hype are Tre Tucker and Kristian Wilkerson.

Ronnie Bell (San Francisco) – The starters do not expect to play much and Ray-Ray McCloud will miss this game. This leaves eight healthy receivers. Ronnie Bell, Isaiah Winstead and Chris Conley have received the most hype from this team.

A.T. Perry (New Orleans) – New Orleans projects to trot out nine different receivers today. Rashid Shaheed and Tre’Quan Smith will sit out with injuries. This should allow A.T. Perry to receive extra opportunities as a rookie.

Justyn Ross (Kansas City) – Kansas City has the most active receivers on this slate with 12. They will still evaluate some young players, which includes Justyn Ross and Rashee Rice.

NFL DFS Picks: Tight End

Foster Moreau (New Orleans) – Jesse James and Lucas Krull missed practice on Friday, while Jimmy Graham received a rest day. With Juwan Johnson and Taysom Hill expected to play briefly, Foster Moreau should receive extra opportunities. Behind Moreau, New Orleans only has J.P. Holtz on the roster.

Jacob Hollister (Las Vegas) – Michael Mayer and Jesper Horsted missed practice on Friday. With Hooper expected to get starter treatment, Jacob Hollister should play extensively. Behind him, Cole Fotheringham is a blocker and John Samuel Shenker is an H-back.

Cameron Latu (San Francisco) – A rookie tight end, Cameron Latu will compete primarily with Brayden Willis for tight end snaps.

Matt Bushman (Kansas City) – Kansas City projects to use six tight ends, which tops the slate. For those diving deep into this tight end room, Matt Bushman should play the most.
