OwnersBox NFL DFS Picks: Chiefs-Jets DFS Values for Sunday Night Football

If you can take your eyes off the Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift rumors, Sunday’s Chiefs-Jets game is a great matchup for OwnersBox NFL DFS. The Prime Time Flex format on OwnersBox doesn’t force players to pay extra for the MVP slot, making it hard to build unique lineups. However, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense spreads the ball around more than any team in the league, leaving plenty of low-owned value receivers from which to choose. Let’s take a look at the top DFS value picks below $4,000 for Chiefs-Jets on Sunday Night Football.

Top NFL DFS Value Plays

Tyler Conklin – $3,700

The Jets offensive hopes sunk when Aaron Rodgers went down in Week 1, leaving them with Zach Wilson as their quarterback. Wilson led the team to a surprise win against the Buffalo Bills in relief of Rodgers, but he’s been back to his usual self since then. It makes this Jets offense scary to roster, but there are still some values that stand out.

One of those is Tyler Conklin. Wilson has used the tight end as a security blanket over the last two weeks, and Conklin had six targets in Week 2 and five targets in Week 3. He’s getting high-percentage, short-yardage throws that limit his ceiling, but that’s to be expected. If you can get a little bit of production for Conklin at $3,700, the rest of your lineup should be on its way. Conklin projects for 7.57 fantasy points, making him the top point-per-dollar player under $4,000 in Stokastic’s custom OwnersBox NFL DFS projections.

Rashee Rice, $3,900

Other than Kelce, it’s hard to predict where Mahomes will throw the football. The Chiefs rely on several options that rotate in at receiver, with any of them capable of grabbing a Mahomes touchdown. Rashee Rice may be a rookie, but he’s become an important part of the Chiefs receiver rotation. Rice was targeted five times in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions, catching all five and scoring a touchdown. He made two catches on both of his targets in Week 2. He had his best game yet last week versus the Chicago Bears, catching five of his seven targets for 59 yards. If his trend toward increasing targets continued, this could be an excellent buy-low opportunity.

The price is right on Rice, who checks in at $3,900. He projects for 6.62 fantasy points for OwnersBox DFS in Week 4. The projection and salary make Rice the top point-per-dollar receiver under $4,000.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling – $3,800

With the emergence of guys like Rice and the continued presence of Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney, Marquez Valdes-Scantling has found his role diminished in this Chiefs offense. Valdes-Scantling was expected to be one of the team’s lead receivers when he came over from the Green Bay Packers last offseason, but he has never seized the role. The talent is there for Valdes-Scantling, but injuries and Mahomes’ preference for spreading the ball around has kept his role in check. However, the price is coming down on Scantling, making him very viable on Sunday night’s OwnersBox NFL DFS slate.

Valdes-Scantling projects for 6.18 fantasy points, making him a slightly weaker point-per-dollar option than Rice. The key here will be ownership. The small drop in projection could be worth the potential ownership discount. It’s hard to know where the ball will go, so this is a spot to keep an eye on to get different for Chiefs-Jets.

Randall Cobb – $3,500

The Jets brought in several of Aaron Rodgers old teammates from Green Bay to play alongside the future Hall of Famer. One of those players was Randall Cobb. Cobb had two stints in Green Bay, spending several years in their offense as one of Rodgers’ top targets. He’s now looking to make a home in New York sans Rodgers. Cobb was never expected to be more than a rotational piece, and he continues to play that role with Wilson now under center.

There aren’t too many opportunities going Cobb’s way, but he is priced at the minimum $3,500, which makes him an intriguing option for DFS on Sunday Night. If you do get some Cobb at low ownership, he won’t have to do much to pay off that price tag and allow you to build lineups with several spend-ups. He projects for 3.43, making him one of the cheapest values on the Jets.

Noah Gray – $3,700

Noah Gray became a popular name among NFL DFS players in Week 1 when Kelce sat out. Kelce’s absence made Gray the de facto starter at tight end for the Chiefs. The days of a chalky Gray are behind us, but he still holds significant value in Week 4. The Chiefs have given Gray plenty of playing time this season, and he is becoming a mainstay as Kelce’s backup. He won’t soak up targets like Kelce, but he won’t have to do too much to pay off his $3,700 salary. Gray projects for 3.58 points, making him one of the best point-per-dollar plays under $4,000 for Sunday Night Football OwnersBox DFS.
