Nuggets vs. Thunder Over 225. 5 Points

Denver has been playing very well lately and should coast in this one. The Nuggets have won six straight and eight of nine, with the average margin of victory being 10.9 points, as half of their wins have been by 15 or more points. Denver has been very good at home where they have four straight wins by an average of 13 points.  They have been excellent on the offensive end during this stretch, averaging 119 points a game on 49.4% shooting from the field and 36.2% shooting from beyond the arc while canning 13.8 3’s a contest. The Nuggets have also shared the ball well (28.9 APG) and dominated the glass over these last nine games. They have been even better on the other end, posting the third-most efficient defense in the league during this period, limiting their opponents to an effective field goal percentage of 50.4%.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma City has been depleted by injuries once again, but more concerning has been their defense. The Thunder used to be able to rely on their prowess on that end of the floor to keep them in games. However, they are allowing over 116 points a game over the last nine contests with four of their last five opponents topping 120. OKC’s last two setbacks have been by 20 points and they have been outscored. They will be without Aaron Wiggins, Luguentz Dort, Ty Jerome, Mike Muscala, Kenrich Williams, Josh Giddey and Jeremiah-Robinson-Earl.

Suns Spread (-10.5) Over Trail Blazers

The point spread has dropped three points since the morning line, probably in part due to Devin Booker being ruled out due to health and safety protocols. On the plus side, Cameron Payne is expected to return after being missing over a month of games due to a wrist injury. Phoenix enters the contest on a two-game losing stretch for the first time since Christmas. However, the Suns have played well at home and are 5-2 without Booker this year with three of those victories being by 11 or more points. Phoenix leads Portland 2-1 in the season series and beat them by double-digits in their only game in the desert this year.
Moreover, the Blazers are currently decimated by injuries. Portland has gotten hammered the last two games, losing both games by at least 30, as they have struggled to score. Jusuf Nurkic, Eric Bledsoe and Joe Ingles are players that have been ruled out for tonight. Oddshopper gives the Suns a 55% chance of covering with an expected ROI of 1%.
