Raptors Moneyline (-140) Over Heat
This should be a fabulous game in a pretty important contest, as the NBA is moving through the back half of its schedule. While every team still has around 30 games to be played, playoff races are starting to take shape. Toronto and Miami each played last night, and they have split their first two meetings, with the Raptors coming out on top 124-120 in triple overtime on Saturday.
Toronto returns home on a two-game winning streak after defeating Atlanta 106-100 last night as all five of the Raptors starters scored at least 19 points. Gary Trent Jr. led the way with a game-high 33 points and averages 25.7 points and 5.3 3-pointers while shooting 44% from the field and 47% from beyond the arc. The Raptors have one of the best starting units in the NBA, but this game will probably be decided by which backcourt plays better. Toronto is playing arguably its best basketball of the season and is 5-3 on the second leg of back-to-back.
The Heat have lost two start and is coming off a 122-92 pounding by the Celtics on Monday, as they were without three starters. Miami has not been good in the second of back-to-back games, going 2-6 with a minus-2.6 point differential. Turnovers have been a major problem for Miami in these games as well as the past month. Furthermore, Jimmy Butler and P.J. Tucker may miss another game with injury.
Awesemo gives Toronto a 55% chance of winning the game.
Nikola Vucevic Under 19.5 Points
This prop seems just a touch too high. Vucevic has been playing fairly well lately, scoring at least 17 points in four straight games and averaging 19.4 points and 11.4 rebounds over the last 10. However, Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan are both available tonight, and Vucevic does not have a particularly good matchup. He is projected for 16.8 points, and OddsShopper gives the under a 66% chance of happening and an expected ROI of 22%.
Jalen Suggs Over 0.5 3-Pointers
Suggs has not shot the ball well from deep all year, but he has made at least one triple in five of his last nine appearances. He drained two 3-pointers against the Bulls earlier this year, and Chicago permits six made treys a game to opposing backcourts. Suggs is projected for 1.56 made 3-pointers. OddsShopper gives the over a 79% chance of hitting and an expected ROI of 27.
