LoL DFS Picks: DraftKings LPL + LCK Slate Breakdown

T1

With the back half of the LCK season fully in gear, two teams have unsurprisingly emerged as contenders for the top spot in GEN and T1. T1 find themselves in a revenge spot as their only loss this split came to this KDF squad, but if they play to their strengths, a 2-0 is well within reach, with Zeus still being a fantastic top lane LoL DFS option, as he still leads T1 in damage share this split.

KWANGDONG FREECS

Surprising is one of the best words to describe the only team to beat T1 this split, as currently KDF are on the outside looking in playoff wise. KDF has shown every high and low possible this split making them a turbulent team both game play wise and LoL DFS wise, but with the pedigree of being able to beat T1 shown, if the ownership pans out, KDF could be a team to sprinkle in tonight.

FUNPLUS PHOENIX

Despite being 4-6, FPX open this series as favorites, and talent wise it makes sense, as they’re the only team to beat JDG this split, but inconsistencies plague them. FPX could end up being lower owned tonight as LoL DFS could easily look at the cheaper, 7-3 AL as a great way to open up to the more expensive options. Care is a largely consistent, occasionally flashy mid laner, who has potential to shine in an FPX win tonight.

ANYONE’S LEGEND

Possibly the easiest piece of LoL DFS value tonight comes in the form of AL, and while they certainly have the best odds as an underdog to win, it’s still a tricky series. Perhaps the best reason to play AL for LoL DFS most nights is their impressive 2.6 assists on just under 14 kills per game, and with that level of potential efficiency, Xiaohao is a player that leads AL in kill participation (KP) this split at 76.3%.

While the first meeting against KT didn’t go as planned, HLE has since gone to a new ADC in Cheoni, and while his play and the results haven’t gone to plan, they did manage to take a game against T1 recently. OnFleek is a player to monitor from HLE tonight, as the jungler could be a key in keeping HLE competitive tonight if he finds the correct avenues to exploit Cuzz.

KT ROLSTER

It’s hard not to get excited for KT this LCK split, especially with their recent performances, but it still needs to be noted that they’re 5-5 on the season and hanging onto the last playoff spot. Repeating their 2-0 over HLE in the first round robin is exactly what KT needs to do again tonight, and if they can also replicate or better the 31 kills they put up in that sweep, Aiming could once again be LoL DFS darling.

EDWARD GAMING

Wrapping up this LoL DFS slate is a series that should be pretty one sided, as EDG takes on LGD. Currently mired as a middle of the pack team in the LPL in kills with 12 per game, EDG has largely been underwhelming compared to expectations this LPL split, but facing off against an LGD team dying nearly 15 times per game, EDG find themselves near the top of our projections, with Scout being a fantastic option tonight, and JunJia offering a bit of salary relief.

LGD GAMING

Technically not out of the playoff picture yet, LGD needs a ton to go right to even sniff that position, and facing the current World Champions in EDG, even if they’re not in great form is a tricky task. On paper there’s little reason to expect an LGD upset tonight, but wilder results pop up in the LPL from time to time, and in those instances, Assum could have a big series.

Best LoL DFS Pick

MID-Faker. The current iteration of Faker is less likely to put up monstrous LoL DFS numbers, but his price tonight has potential to open up a variety of lineups, while still offering what should be a solid floor.

Best Contrarian LoL DFS Pick

MID-Karis. Confidence in HLE is essentially zero, but when there’s one obvious underdog play on the slate, taking chances that a 5-5 KT squad loses tonight against HLE at very low ownership sounds a bit more intriguing.
