Trevor Story — SS – Colorado Rockies

Story gets the platoon advantage at Coors Field against Padres left-hander Matt Strahm tonight. This has been a favorable matchup for Story in the past, as he is 3-for-7 with a double and two home runs against him. Story has been having a huge month of August, slashing .375/.455/.667 with a very impressive 1.121 OPS. According to Awesemo’s expert projections, Story checks in as the second-highest-rated player on tonight’s slate.

Tyler Naquin — OF – Cincinnati Reds

Naquin takes aim at Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks, who just allowed 11 hits and nine runs over four innings in his last start. Projected to bat second in the Reds lineup tonight, Naquin will likely see a ton of pitches in the strike zone, with the red-hot Jonathan India ahead of him and Joey Votto behind him. Naquin has hit safely in each of the last six games, and three of those were multi-hit games. Jake Meyers — OF – Houston Astros

Meyers will not be hitting at the top of the Astros’ lineup tonight, but he will still get plenty of RBI opportunities. Only a few days removed from hitting two home runs in one game, Meyers will look to keep things rolling against Royals left-hander Daniel Lynch. Right-handed batters are slashing .308/.369/.496, and the Astros have plenty of them to make life difficult on Lynch. Look for Meyers to capitalize on the chances he gets tonight.
