Tonight’s Top Monkey Knife Fight MLB Player Prop Picks

Brewers vs. Rockies ‘More or Less’ Contest (3x Buy-In)

MLB picks Monkey Knife Fight MLB fantasy brandon woodruff strikeouts more or less Tonight THursday June 17 2021 Brewers Rockies expert projections simulations ownership rankings

It is very hard to go against Milwaukee Brewers ace Brandon Woodruff when playing Monkey Knife Fight MLB contests. Although he fell short of going over 6.5 strikeouts in his most recent start, that hasn’t exactly been a common theme this season. In fact, he has totaled eight or more strikeouts in five of his last seven starts. In three of those outings, he had double-digit strikeouts. With the Brewers reeling following a three-game sweep in their mid-week series, Woodruff is the ideal pitcher to help steady the ship tonight.

The surprising choice for this MLB fantasy picks contest might be to also play over 5.5 strikeouts for  Rockies right-hander German Marquez. Although he got beat up badly in his most recent outing (12 hits and nine runs over just five innings), Marquez tends to obtain a large portion of his outs via strikeout. Even in that most recent rough start, he still finished with five. He had also cleared the Monkey Knife Fight line in six consecutive starts prior to that game. Add in the fact that the Brewers average the third-most strikeouts as a team per game (10.00), and Marquez should be able to clear the threshold this evening.

Tigers vs. Angels ‘More or Less’ Contest (3x Buy-In)

MLB fantasy picks monkey knife fight Jonathan Schoop Anthony Rendon more or less total bases home runs doubles singles triples Tigers Angels tonight Thursday June 18 2021 expert predictions odds bets ownership rankings projections

Tigers infielder Jonathan Schoop is coming off of an outstanding mid-week series. He totaled six hits over the three games, scored four runs, batted in three RBIs and slugged a homer for good measure. His batting average is up to .272 on the season. Schoop has recorded at least one hit in seven of his last eight games and has a trio of multi-hit performances over that span. Nothing will come easy tonight against Angels starter Shohei Ohtani, but Schoop is riding a wave of momentum and should be able to clear 1.5 total bases.

Anthony Rendon hasn’t been too shabby of late either. He carries a five-game hitting streak into tonight’s contest and has elevated his batting average for the season up to .241. After missing a string of games earlier in the season, the Angels have to be encouraged by what Rendon has been doing at the plate recently. Despite the recent success, Rendon has only cleared the Monkey Knife Fight line of 1.5 total hits and walks twice in his last seven games. While Rendon will likely make an appearance on the base paths this evening, whether he manages to do so more than once is another story.
