Argueta is moving up to featherweight and will look to keep this fight standing against a dangerous submission specialist such as Jackson. Volkov is the far more experienced of the two fighters, with 44 fights dating back to 2009. He is coming into this matchup with a disappointing submission loss against Tom Aspinall. Volkov will need to avoid the power of Rozenstruik and use his reach to keep him at distance. He is one of the more active heavyweights who lands five significant strikes per minute. I expect Volkov will sit on the outside and use his reach and nasty jab to take advantage of the overly patient Rozenstruik. For MMA DFS purposes, Volkov is a solid play due to this being a five-round fight. Awesemo’s UFC projections give 60% win odds.
Karine Silva | DraftKings: $8,200 , FanDuel: $16
Silva is coming into this matchup hot with five straight finishes. She is making her UFC debut against Poliana Botelho, with is a good matchup for Silva’s UFC debut. I expect Silva will look to grapple often in this fight and to get the fight to the canvas early. That being said, if Botelho can keep this fight standing she will have the speed and technique advantage. However, if Silva gets Botelho to the mat early she will have a clear path to a submission victory. There is a risk in playing Silva in your MMA DFS lineups today, but if she finds the submission, she will pay off her salary nicely. Awesemo’s UFC projections give 53% win odds.

Johnny Munoz | DraftKings: $7,600, FanDuel: $15
Munoz made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 173 in August 2020, losing via unanimous decision against Nathan Maness. He bounced back with a win via submission over Jamey Simmons in his last outing. Munoz has a lethal and extremely dangerous submission game, with could cause Tony Gravely some real problems. With that being said, Gravely is the better wrestler and striker of the two, but do not count Munoz out with his slick submission skills once this fight hits the canvas. For UFC DFS picks, Munoz is a risky play in DFS, but his lethal submission skills could pay off nicely in your MMA DFS lineups. Awesemo’s MMA projections give Munoz 45% win odds.
