Coming off a small, five-game Tuesday night slate, Wednesday doubles it up, with 10 games beginning at 7 p.m. ET on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Using Stokastic’s tools, let’s dive deeper into the player pool to discuss the top NBA DFS building blocks for both DraftKings and FanDuel. NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Wednesday, December 14
Core Play of the Day — Kawhi Leonard: Minnesota Timberwolves-Los Angeles Clippers
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 37.99 | FanDuel: 37.22
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 23.70% | FanDuel: 28.40%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $6,900 | FanDuel: $7,000
Leonard is only averaging 26.8 DraftKings points per game in his return from a torn ACL that cost him the entire 2021-22 season. However, over the past two games, he has looked like his vintage self, dropping a combined 38 points, 17 rebounds, 12 assists and two steals in wins over the Wizards and Celtics. Even on a pretty strict minutes limit, Leonard is too cheap across both sites, and he’s a clear core building block in both cash games and GPP’s.
Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities
Tonight Moritz Wagner has a 1.5 over/under line on his 3-pointers prop for his matchup against the Hawks. Stokastic’s NBA DFS projections have him for 1.14 3-pointers and a 69% likelihood that he falls below this threshold. For some added value, use this bet’s high likelihood of success as a way to begin an NBA player prop parlay tonight.

Minnesota Timberwolves-Los Angeles Clippers
D’Angelo Russell is questionable to miss his first game of the season due to a left knee contusion. He has seen his production pick up across the board with Karl-Anthony Towns out, and if Russell is out tonight, expect even more usage for Anthony Edwards, and for Jaylen Nowell and potentially Austin Rivers to see extended minutes.
For the Clippers, Norman Powell remains out, while John Wall is also sitting tonight due to left knee injury management. In a great spot against the Timberwolves, there is a lot to like about Los Angeles, with Leonard topping the list at $6,900 on DraftKings and $7,000 on FanDuel. With Wall out, Reggie Jackson should see a boost, but it’s hard to get to him on a 10-game slate when both Leonard and Paul George are healthy. Lastly, Ivica Zubac is definitely worth mentioning at $5,300 on DraftKings. While his playing time is a bit risky, he’s in a good spot to play big minutes against this Timberwolves frontcourt, and if he plays 35 minutes, he should smash this price tag.
Final Thoughts on NBA DFS Picks Today
