There is no Russell Westbrook to roster on today’s NBA DFS slate, but there are still other plays that stand out on the Awesemo NBA DFS Boom vs. Bust Tool. The main focus will be on the Toronto Raptors. Now that they are officially out of the playoff picture, veterans are resting. This creates a ton of cheap NBA Fantasy picks so projections love some of the cheap Toronto options on FanDuel and DraftKings.

NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom Candidates
Yuta Watanabe vs. Clippers: $3,500 DraftKings/$3,500 FanDuel
27% DraftKings Boom/35.6% FanDuel Boom
The Raptors are a team to target tonight. After getting eliminated from the playoffs, Rodney Hood, Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, O.G. Anunoby and Aron Baynes are all out tonight. It seems somewhat likely that none of them will play again this season. These injuries come in addition to Chris Boucher getting listed as questionable. Boucher hasn’t played in over three weeks due to a knee injury, so even if active, he probably will not play a ton. With this in mind, all the cheap players starting for the Raptors make for good value plays. Watanabe is the highest-priority play since he was already a part of the rotation and is cheap, but other guys like Jalen Harris and Stanley Johnson also come out looking like good values in Awesemo’s NBA DFS projections.
Saben Lee vs. Timberwolves: $3,400 DraftKings/$4,000 FanDuel
30% DraftKings Boom/25.3% FanDuel Boom
Lee has not been rostered much this season. He does not often project well, and there are many slates as of late where he garnered more ownership than he should have. Today’s slate is different because the Pistons’ injury situation is even crazier today than normal. Frank Jackson and Josh Jackson are both questionable to play. After Frank Jackson left last game early with an ankle injury, Lee ended up playing extended minutes. He matched a season high with 32 minutes and ended up scoring 28.25 DraftKings points. With Wayne Ellington, Jerami Grant, Dennis Smith Jr., Mason Plumlee, Hamidou Diallo, Rodney McGruder and Cory Joseph all out, Lee should see extended minutes again.

Nikola Jokic vs. Hornets: $11,000 DraftKings/$11,000 FanDuel
20.4% DraftKings Boom/29.1% FanDuel Boom
Jokic has a few things going for him. To start, the Nuggets are still fighting for playoff seeding, so he should continue playing a full workload for now. He is also a strong option to pay up for with the second-best boom odds of any player priced over $10,000 on FanDuel and the third-best mark of any stud on DraftKings. Positional scarcity is another reason to roster Jokic. On a slate filled with value, most of it comes at the guard and forward positions. This makes it sensible to use the remaining salary to pay for a center, and Jokic is the high-end center who makes the most sense – and he’s the No. 1 player in the Awesemo NBA DFS projections tonight.
NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Kevin Durant vs. Bulls: $9,900 DraftKings/$10,600 FanDuel
53.1% DraftKings Bust/53.8% FanDuel Bust
The issue with Durant has less to do with him and more to do with the other options on the slate. He has a much lower chance of booming in Awesemo’s tool than the other stars on the slate like Jokic, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic. For this reason, there are better places to spend salary. There is also an issue here with motivation. The Nets aren’t going to get the No. 1 seed. Considering the number of injuries that have picked up this season, there’s a chance Durant and Kyrie Irving could have their minutes get limited slightly in the final few games of the regular season.
