NBA Fantasy: Boom Bust Tool Projections for DraftKings + FanDuel Lineups | Today 5/5

For the second consecutive day, Kings chalk reigns supreme in NBA fantasy projections. With Tyrese Haliburton out for the season and De’Aaron Fox still in the health and safety protocol, Delon Wright and Marvin Bagley stand out as top plays on FanDuel and DraftKings while ranking towards the top of the Awesemo NBA DFS Boom vs. Bust Tool.

NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom Candidates

Delon Wright vs. Pacers: $5,600 DraftKings/$5,200 FanDuel

46% DraftKings Boom/62.5% FanDuel Boom

Wright and Bagley are both cores play tonight worth plenty of exposure to. Of the duo, Wright ranks as the better boom option – and he also has the No. 2 overall value in the Awesemo NBA DFS projections. Wright has the best odds of booming on both FanDuel and DraftKings tonight. It isn’t hard to see why when Fox and Haliburton are both out of the lineup. Wright started last night and was pushed to play 37 minutes of action with the Kings short-handed. Even though it’s a long shot, Sacramento is still alive in the playoff race and is still looking to win games. Wright came two assists shy of a triple-double last night and figures to play a similar role in a game with a 239.5 total.

Robert Williams vs. Magic $5,400 DraftKings/$5,400 FanDuel

32.8% DraftKings Boom/54% FanDuel Boom

Despite coming off the bench last game, Williams got more run than Tristan Thompson and played 24 minutes. He should play at least that much today since he’s established himself as the best big man on the Celtics roster. Williams is working his way back from injury and should be back to full minutes soon. In addition, Thompson is questionable to play today because of a strained pectoral muscle. If he’s out, Williams could start and play normal center minutes. As the Celtics’ starting center this season, Williams is averaging 31.27 DraftKings points in 25.1 minutes per game. He could push for close to 30 minutes if Thompson is out.

Kevin Porter Jr. vs. 76ers: $7,700 DraftKings/$6,900 FanDuel

42.6% DraftKings Boom/58.4% FanDuel Boom

The Rockets’ injury report is even more of a mess than usual. After Christian Wood went from not on the injury report to doubtful, Houston might only have seven players available tonight. In addition to Wood, John Wall, Eric Gordon, Danuel House, Dante Exum, David Nwaba, Jae’Sean Tate, D.J. Wilson and Sterling Brown are expected to miss tonight’s game. As if this isn’t enough, D.J. Augustin is questionable to play. The NBA requires teams to have eight active players, so Houston might have to play a seven-man rotation with an injured player active just so it has enough bodies to field a team. This could lead to Porter playing nearly the entire game while soaking up all the usage he can handle. The Awesemo NBA DFS projections bear that out, with Porter lining up for a shade under 50 points. The Rockets’ injury situation is going to break this DFS slate.

Chris Paul vs. Hawks: $7,500 DraftKings/$8,000 FanDuel

60% DraftKings Bust/75.4% FanDuel Bust

Paul is appropriately priced. In fact, one could make the argument that his salary on DraftKings is too cheap if this were a normal situation. However, this isn’t a run-of-the-mill game for the Suns. They are playing on the tail end of a back-to-back after a grueling overtime game last night. Given the heavy minutes their core players had to shoulder, the Suns could ease up on playing time tonight. Paul played 36 minutes last night, which is close to the most he has played all season. Fatigue is a concern heading into this game against the Hawks.
