DraftKings & FanDuel NBA Fantasy Basketball Rankings

*Grades are ordered DraftKings, FanDuel. The initial grade indicates a player’s strength of output, with the value grade indicating their strength as a play in relation to their salary.

PG Reggie Jackson — Grades: B, B | Values: A, A

With so many injuries for the Los Angeles Clippers, Reggie Jackson is having to play monster minutes. He has averaged 37 minutes per game in his last four games. During that time, Jackson is averaging 18.8 points, 8.3 assists and 39.6 DraftKings points per game. The Clippers are playing without newly acquired Norman Powell as Paul George and Kawhi Leonard remain out. Jackson leads the Clippers in both points and assists. According to our NBA ownership projections, Jackson is projected for the most ownership on DraftKings and third-highest on FanDuel.

Playing against the Houston Rockets is always a treat. They rank last in defensive rating and second in pace. The Rockets have allowed 117.7 points per game, which is nearly three more points than any other team. They have lost six-straight games as they continue to be last in the Western Conference standings. The Clippers are implied to score a slate-high 120 points as this game total is at 229 points. There are a lot of great plays from this game, especially on the Clippers’ side of the ball, but starting with Jackson is the way to go tonight.

SF Jimmy Butler — Grades: A, A | Values: B, B

Jimmy Butler is currently listed as questionable to play tonight so please monitor the starting lineups page to make sure he is able to go. He has been questionable quite a bit recently but has still been playing through injury, so it is expected that he plays. Butler has shown inconsistencies lately. Over the last four games, he had two with 45 or more DraftKings points and two with under 30 DraftKings points. Tyler Herro is still out for the Heat, which has shown to increase Butler’s usage rate this season. His salary is simply too low for his upside.

Another fantastic matchup is playing against the Charlotte Hornets. They rank 23rd in defensive rating and lead the league in pace. It is crazy how fast the Hornets play. Butler has the best grades and values for both sites according to our NBA Fantasy Rankings. He has shown triple-double upside not too long ago. Awesemo NBA projections have Butler as being one of the best pay-up options on the slate. If for some reason he is unable to go, plug in point guard Kyle Lowry, who still remains at a very cheap price as well. The Heat should be able to exploit this matchup early and often tonight.

Latest NBA DFS Content

PF Alperen Sengun — Grades: D, D | Values: C, C

One of the best value plays last night turned out to be Houston Rockets’ Alperen Sengun. Christian Wood got ruled out, which put Sengun in a great spot. He came up huge with a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Sengun finished with 49.5 DraftKings points as he shot 7-for-11 from the field and 3-for-4 from behind the arc. There is no status update on Wood right now, but expect him to sit once again. If for some reason Wood plays, Ivica Zubac is priced nearly the same and he is a great option from the Clippers’ side of the ball.

Sengun is simply too cheap for the upside that he can provide. The Clippers present a pretty difficult matchup, but so did the Suns and Sengun popped like crazy. He only played 28 minutes last night but was still extremely productive. Sengun is averaging 1.13 DraftKings points per minute, which is exceptional for a rookie. Even if Wood is able to suit up, the Rockets have been playing Sengun alongside Wood recently to give him more playing time and it has paid off. Either way, Sengun looks like a great value play with so much upside.

SF Kyle Kuzma — Grades: A, B | Values: C, A

Running it right back to the well with Kyle Kuzma. His price remains the same on FanDuel, which makes him a major priority. Once again Kuzma is projected for the highest ownership on FanDuel in our NBA ownership projections. He is coming off of a monster double-double where he recorded 26 points, 15 rebounds and six assists while having a season-high 35.4% usage rate. Kuzma finished with 58.8 DraftKings points so he was essential to have last night. With so many Wizards out due to injury or being traded, this is Kuzma’s team right now and he is taking full advantage of that opportunity.

After losing 11-straight games, the Brooklyn Nets have won back-to-back games. Trading James Harden has immediately been a positive for this team, however, they are still a poor defensive team without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. The Nets are home favorites, but Kuzma should be able to have his way in this matchup. His rebounding upside without Montrezl Harrell and Daniel Gafford has been very strong. Kuzma has the third-highest boom percentage on FanDuel in our Boom/Bust Tool. Prioritize Kuzma once again on FanDuel at his cheap salary.
