Top 5 DraftKings NBA DFS Picks Today

5. Bennedict Mathurin, Indiana Pacers

At a price tag of $5,600, Mathurin is projected for 31 points and has a goal of 38. With eligibility as both a shooting guard and small forward, he is a valuable utility player for any lineup. Mathurin is in the optimal lineup 17% of the time, and he has moved into a starting role and averages a fantasy point per minute in a massive pace-up spot against the Milwaukee Bucks. While the Pacers are huge underdogs in this matchup, Mathurin could still put up solid numbers in his new role. He is projected to score 19.5 points, with 27% usage, five rebounds, two assists and a stock. The absence of Tyrese Haliburton could also provide a boost to Mathurin’s production.

4. Kevin Knox, Portland Trail Blazers

Knox is projected to score 26 fantasy points, with a goal of 31, and is in the optimal lineup 18% of the time. With Portland likely to have only nine active players, Knox is expected to play 26 minutes and has a decent rate of 0.95 fantasy points per minute. Although the matchup against Sacramento may not be a huge pace-up spot, the Kings defense is weak, giving Knox a good chance to score. He is projected to score 14 points, six rebounds, an assist and a stock. While there is some volatility, Knox has minutes upside, making him a good value pick for DFS.

3. Matisse Thybulle, Portland Trail Blazers

Thybulle is projected for 24 points and the goal is 29, and he’s in the optimal lineup 20% of the time. With 28 minutes expected and 0.85 fantasy points per minute, Thybulle can easily rack up points. He’s also a starter at the small forward position, with almost three stocks per game, making him a great pick for those who prioritize defensive stats. With so many minutes available due to the lack of players for Portland, Thybulle is a valuable option.

2. Keon Johnson, Portland Trail Blazers

Johnson is a risky but potentially high-reward DraftKings NBA DFS pick. As a point guard and shooting guard, Johnson’s projected value is $5,000, with a goal of 35 fantasy points. He’s in the optimal lineup 25% of the time and projects for 27 minutes. With 1.19 fantasy points per minute, he’s shown he can produce when given the opportunity. Johnson’s usage is 25%, meaning he will have the ball a lot when other main players are out. He is projected to have 16 points, five assists, three rebounds, and a stock and a half. Even though he is a bit of a gamble, he is in a great matchup.

1. Drew Eubanks, Portland Trail Blazers

Eubanks is projected for 33 points and is in the optimal lineup 28% of the time. He is expected to play around 29 minutes and should start, as the Trail Blazers do not have many other options at center. Eubanks has an impressive 1.15 fantasy points per minute and almost a double-double, with 12.5 points and nine rebounds, plus 2.5 assists and almost 2.5 stocks. He seems like the safest bet from Portland, and there are currently no other value plays available.
