There are only two games tonight, so there aren’t many options at the top of the pricing spectrum. That said, it is typically more difficult to make up the raw points that high priced NBA DFS plays offer elsewhere on short slates since there are fewer high-upside mid-range options. So while tonight’s pay up options may not be priorities on a regular slate based on their current projections, they still are extremely important pieces tonight.
Using Stokastic’s NBA DFS projections, let’s take a deeper dive into the player pool to discuss the top NBA DFS high-priced studs for today.

High-Priced NBA DFS Plays: Tyrese Haliburton
Stud No. 1 – Giannis Antetokounmpo: Milwaukee Bucks at Indiana Pacers
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $10,700/ FanDuel: $10,600
- Stokastic’s Point Projections: DraftKings: 56.3/ FanDuel: 55.8
- Stokastic’s Ownership Projections: DraftKings: 47.4%/ FanDuel: 69.7%
Antetokounmpo is having a down fantasy season by his standards thanks to the addition of Damian Lillard. He’s still a very strong fantasy producer, however, and there is not much competition for him on tonight’s short slate. Antetokounmpo has produced 1.37 DraftKings points per minute in 31 minutes per game this season. The Bucks have been involved in a couple of blowouts and Antetokounmpo was ejected from last night’s game, so 32 or 33 minutes is a more reasonable projection tonight. He has an excellent matchup against the Pacers, who have been one of the least efficient defensive teams this year while playing at the league’s second-fastest pace. Lillard is also questionable for tonight’s game. If Lillard were to sit, Antetokounmpo’s projection would increase drastically.
Stud No. 2 – Tyrese Haliburton: Milwaukee Bucks at Indiana Pacers
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $10,000/ FanDuel: $10,000
- Stokastic’s Point Projections: DraftKings: 51.0/ FanDuel: 49.2
- Stokastic’s Ownership Projections: DraftKings: 45.5%/ FanDuel: 44.3%
Haliburton isn’t typically included in these articles, as he usually ranks a tier below the top-end plays, but he is the second-most expensive player on tonight’s slate. He is off to an excellent start this season, producing 1.53 DraftKings points per minute in 32 minutes per game. He leads the NBA with a 50% assist rate and 11.9 assists per game. Haliburton projects behind Antetokounmpo but should still be one of the core pieces to build around tonight.
There are only four teams playing tonight, but it is still important to keep a close eye on injury news throughout the day, as a couple of those teams are on a back-to-back and Lillard’s status is pivotal. Be sure to check out Stokastic’s Deeper Dive and Live Before Lock shows.
