NBA DFS Advice for Thursday, November 16 | Lineup Generator
The process kicks off by selecting three key options. First, pick your desired DFS slate between DraftKings main and FanDuel Main.
Next, choose your ownership setting. I usually opt for contrarian lineups because I enjoy playing GPPs, but you can also select from all lineups, chalky lineups or balanced lineups.
Lastly, you have the option to lock in a player based on optimal percentage, projection or boom percentage. You can also skip this step if you’d like.
Today I selected DraftKings Main, contrarian lineups and Chris Paul because he’s in a great spot without Stephen Curry and Draymond Green and I want to lock him in. If you’re playing cash games like double ups or three-mans, you could also select chalky for better projected lineups but with only two games tonight we will see lots of dupes so contrarian builds is the way I want to go.
You will have some of the same players in a chalky lineup and contrarian lineup but as long as you get unique somewhere, that is totally OK. The size of the slate you’re playing and also determined what build is best. With only four teams in play tonight, team stacking is a good way to be unique.
After saving 20 lineups, the highest exposures I ended with were 100% Chris Paul, 85% Kevon Looney, and 75% Bam Adebayo. Here’s a sample of a lineup that resulted from these selections.
This lineup projects for 252.99 points and includes Chris Paul, Kevon Looney, and Bam Adebayo. It also includes Klay Thompson and Jonathan Kuminga from the Warriors as the entire team projects well with both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green out tonight (team stacking. Yes!). In addition to the chalky Warriors players, it has an 8% owned Duncan Robinson which is why I like this lineup. On such a small slate I like to have at least one player projected for less than 10% ownership to be unique. Now, that’s not a must, just my preference. The Lineup Generator also makes it easy to export your lineups to CSV file so you can just point and click to upload them to DraftKings.
Exposure for the 20 lineups I saved:
It’s important to note these exposures are based completely off my settings. As a reminder, you can change between lineup builds and save lineups along the way. In total, I had 20 lineups saved in less than five minutes. That’s what makes this such a great NBA DFS tool for newer players and players who don’t have time in the morning to get their NBA lineups in before lock. Even better, the projections update for you automatically, so you don’t need to worry about players getting ruled out last minute as long as you run the generator after the injury news is public.
