OwnersBox NFL DFS is going all-in on the SuperFlex position. The new NFL DFS format let’s players roster two quarterbacks, which means choosing who to play and how to stack critical decisions. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the best quarterbacks for NFL Week 4 using Stokastic’s custom OwnersBox NFL DFS projections.

OwnersBox NFL DFS Strategy: Top Quarterbacks

OwnersBox DFS Quarterback Plays

Justin Fields, $6,600

The Chicago Bears season hasn’t exactly gone as planned. The Bears faithful had high hopes for Justin Fields and crew coming into the season after the team added D.J. Moore and several offseason additions to bolster their roster. Needless to say, the re-vamped Bears aren’t looking great. They’re 0-3 with several bad losses including last week’s embarrassment against the Kansas City Chiefs. The good news for Chicago is they host a Denver Broncos squad in Week 4 that is struggling just as much as they are. The Broncos defense allowed seventy points to the Miami Dolphins last week and looked like they just gave up out there.

Fields projects for 20.38 fantasy points on the OwnersBox NFL DFS main slate. At $6,600, the projection makes field the top point-per-dollar play at the quarterback position. He has looked terrible in the early going, but NFL DFS players saw what Fields could do last season, and this Broncos game may be just what he needs. The field is noticing the matchup, with Fields garnering 22% ownership. That will make him the chalkiest running back on the slate, but for the price and projection Fields is worth consideration.

Josh Allen, $7,600

Justin Fields brings a lot of uncertainty, but NFL DFS players can at least bank on Josh Allen to turn in a solid performance. The elite signal caller leads the Buffalo Bills into a huge AFC showdown with the Miami Dolphins. The two high-powered offenses are colliding to make this the best game environment on the slate, with the Bills projected for the highest implied total of any team at 27.5 points. If Buffalo reaches that mark, expect tons of production out of Allen.

Allen is the highest projected quarterback on Sunday’s OwnersBox NFL DFS slate at 22.99 points. The $7,600 price tag on Allen is up there, but his raw projection is high enough that he still checks in as the second best point-per-dollar value. The field is rostering Allen at an 18% rate, which is reasonable given his floor and upside.

Russell Wilson, $6,200

The Denver Broncos have something to prove. It’s easy to write them off, much like the aforementioned Bears, but they’ll be looking for a huge turnaround after getting destroyed by Miami in Week 3. It’s hard to back them after such an enormous beatdown, but the Bears are as good a matchup as they could hope for. Even in the Broncos rough start, they haven’t been shy about letting Russell Wilson cook. He has thrown for 300 yards the last two weeks. If the Bears can stop them on the ground and get out to a lead, it may force Wilson to do the same this Sunday.

Wilson projects for 18.61 fantasy points, making him the third best point-per-dollar play on the board on OwnersBox. He’s picking up 18.9% ownership which is a little higher than Allen. Nevertheless, Wilson is a solid pivot off of fields and may be viable in full Broncos-Bears game stacks.

Brock Purdy, $6,400

Brock Purdy continues to get the job done at the helm of the San Francisco 49ers offense. Question marks swirled around Purdy last season after he took over the starting quarterback duties do to injuries to Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance. The skepticism was fair given that Purdy was a rookie and 7th round draft pick. The question marks aren’t fair any longer. Purdy has proven himself as one of the most consistent quarterbacks in the league and he has found weapons like Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk throughout the season’s first three weeks. The 49ers are 3-0 and looking to continue their undefeated streak.

Purdy projects for 19.1 fantasy points but he’s getting owned at just a 14.6% rate. He’s the 4th best value play at the quarterback position. The projection and ownership stand out, making Purdy a great play in his price range.

Kenny Pickett, $5,800

The Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t known as offensive juggernauts, but they get a great matchup in Week 4 with the Houston Texans. Not only are the Steelers favored, the Texans are also playing at a high pace and throwing the ball often. That should lead to more opportunities for Kenny Pickett. He has great stacking partners in George Pickens and Pat Freiermuth, that allow DFS players to buy in on this entire team at a low salary on OwnersBox DFS this week. Pickett projects for 17.31 fantasy points and 15.5% ownership. He’s the 6th best value play on the board and the 4th highest owned quarterback .

Jalen Hurts, $7,500

Josh Allen may be the top spend up on the board at quarterback, but Jalen Hurts is right there with him. Hurts projects for 22.33 fantasy points and 14.7% ownership. The projection and value are below Allen, but the ownership discount is strong. The Eagles have high priced pass catchers in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith that make the full stack tough to get to, but Hurts’ ability to score with his legs makes him an interesting option at the top of the board this week.
