Dillon is now tabbed as the No. 2 back. Dillon is not much of a pass catcher, though, and that is how Jones will find himself on the field more. Last season’s 1,104 yards rushing a career high for Jones, and that was with Williams (120) and Dillon (46) taking a combined 166 carries. That would be a huge jump in workload for Dillon, so it is reasonable to think Jones’ workload will increase.
Josh Jacobs: Under 1025.5 Yards Rushing
Jacobs’ outlook takes a huge hit with Kenyan Drake coming to Las Vegas. Drake was fantastic in 2020, with a career high in carries (239), yards rushing (955) and touchdowns (10). It is no secret that the Raiders are always trying to add speed to their team, and it looks like Jacobs will take on more of the bruiser role in the backfield. Despite only having two 100-yard games in 2020, Jacobs rushed for 1,000 yards for the second straight season. Unfortunately, there is more talent in the Raiders’ backfield than in years prior.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Over 900.5 Yards Rushing
Edwards-Helaire did not have the greatest rookie season, but he still had 803 yards rushing and four touchdowns. The Chiefs’ offensive line struggled mightily in the Super Bowl the last time they played. However, it is worth noting that Kansas City’s offensive line should be better this year despite losing Eric Fisher. Even Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, who left the team last year to join the medical field, is back. Reports out of Chiefs camp have the team working on a new gap running scheme that will break off a lot of longer runs for Edwards-Helaire. If he gets enough of those carries, Edwards-Helaire will easily exceed this mark.
