NFL Week 17 DraftKings Reignmakers Targets

Quarterback: Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
NFL Week 17 Projection: 26.53 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $3.33

Often, it makes sense to pass on the highest-projected players for others who are much cheaper and project slightly worse. That is not the case this week. Hurts has the best projection of any quarterback on the slate by more than 3 fantasy points, and his Core floor price is just $3.33. Hurts faces a Cardinals defense that has given up the fourth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the past five weeks, and he has a fairly narrow target tree.

Running Back: Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
NFL Week 17 Projection: 19.73 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $1.89

Unlike quarterback, there is a wide gap in price between the top running back on the slate and those trailing him. Christian McCaffrey leads the position in projection by nearly 9 points, but his Core floor price is $6.14. If you’re playing on a budget, you can pivot to White for just $1.89. White faces a Saints defense that has given up 12th-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points per game to running backs over the past five weeks, and his projection of 19.73 fantasy points is second best of any running back on the slate.

Wide Receiver: Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles
NFL Week 17 Projection: 11.58 DraftKings Points
Core Floor Price: $0.64

As noted, Hurts has a narrow target tree. The best projected Eagles pass catcher is A.J. Brown, and if you’re willing to pay his $4.49 Core floor price, Brown makes a lot of sense. DeVonta Smith is also a strong option with a Core floor price of just $1.32. But Goedert actually has the best matchup of the pass catchers, as the Cardinals have given up the fourth-most schedule-adjusted fantasy points to tight ends over the past five weeks. Of course, you could also cover multiple bases by double stacking Hurts at a reasonable price.
