Preseason Week 2 PrizePicks NFL DFS Picks: Diontae Johnson OVER 26.5 Receiving Yards

With Week 2 NFL Preseason action underway, the attention of the sports world is shifting back to the NFL. Last week, we had some nice success in the prop-betting market on PrizePicks. Of course, Week 2 DFS NFL tonight will be more challenging with the first teams getting a lot more reps this time around. In last night’s games, some first-team players saw as many as 25 to 30 snaps. So, who will be playing most of the snaps for the teams in tonight’s eight-game slate and who are the best NFL DFS picks to target?

For those wanting to get in on the NFL DFS action now with preseason props, PrizePicks is the choice for you. PrizePicks provides a big list of stats and fantasy points, and users can choose for which bets they want to make a prediction. Stringing together a few picks can payout up to 10 times the entry fee. Users are even able to combine picks across different sports. The only rule is they must make picks for players on at least two different teams.

PrizePicks NFL DFS: Week 2 Preseason Picks & Props

It is important to note that, much like odds that update throughout the day, these props at PrizePicks are subject to change. So if you like these NFL picks below, it is wise to jump on them quickly.

AJ McCarron (QB, Atlanta Falcons) – Under 83.5 Passing Yards

McCarron had a brutal debut with the Falcons, going 5-for-12 in the preseason opener against the Titans. This is his first season with the team, so there are still plenty of kinks to work out in the playbook. We should probably expect QB Matt Ryan to be in the mix for a few snaps, in addition to Felipe Franks getting some as well. All of those factors don’t give him much of a ceiling tonight.

The Dolphins were shredded by Justin Fields in the opener, so facing McCarron and the Falcons gets easier. McCarron hasn’t been impressive in camp and there’s not much room for him to grow on this roster. It doesn’t look like they’ll unleash him at any point this preseason.

Jamaal Williams (RB, Detroit Lions) – Over 24.5 Rushing Yards

The Lions’ passing attack will certainly struggle tonight against a Steelers defense that allowed the third-fewest passing yards per game. Because of that, we should see Detroit take to the ground more often. Williams had a tough preseason opener, rushing the ball nine times for only 15 yards against the Bills. He did get the most carries of any Lions’ running back in the opener, so the desire is certainly there to make him part of the offense.

Diontae Johnson (WR – Pittsburgh Steelers) – Over 24.5 Receiving Yards

On the other sideline, Johnson will look to have a big night of his own. Johnson has been fairly active already in the Steelers’ two preseason games, catching all five of his targets for 60 yards. That’s a great sign for the Pittsburgh faithful, considering drops plagued Johnson in 2020. The Lions secondary was brutal last season, allowing the third-most passing yards per game, and not much was done to improve that. Look for Johnson to have a productive night and make good on this bet.
