UFC DFS Fight Breakdown + Analysis for UFC 250 | Nunes vs. Spencer

Hello UFC fans, it’s good to have UFC back and I hope everyone is doing well. This weekend, we have a 12-fight card in Las Vegas, including a main event between Amanda “The Lioness” Nunes and Felicia “FeeNom” Spencer. The main GPP has $1,000,000. going to first place a total of $2,525,000 being paid out. The follow are the fights I feel have the most upside. Let’s dig into some UFC DFS analysis.

Alonzo Menifield $9,000 vs. Devin Clark $7,200

Alonzo Menifield

  • Age: 32
  • Height: 6-foot-0
  • Weight: 205 lbs
  • Reach: 76 in.
  • Record: 9-0-0
  • Striking Accuracy: 55%
  • Betting Odds: -220

Menifield has fast hands and throws a one-two, straight right-hand combination that will put his opponents lights out. I feel he should be able to stuff Clark’s takedown attempts, and if taken down he has the ability to get back to his feet. Menifield has a solid wrestling game, therefore, I think his best path to victory is keeping this fight standing and using his hand speed to pick Clark apart.

Devin Clark

  • Age: 30
  • Height: 6-foot-0
  • Weight: 205 lbs
  • Reach: 75 in.
  • Record: 11-4-0
  • Striking Accuracy: 56%
  • Betting Odds: +190

Clark is a solid wrestler. He will use his feints and fakes to set up his single leg. He throws a nice straight right hand, jab combination, however with little power behind it. Clark throws leg kicks and body kicks in attempts to get inside and shoot for takedowns. Clark’s best path to victory, I feel  is being patient and looking for the right time to shoot and take this fight to the mat.

My preferred play is Menifield, I think his striking and hand speed will prevail and seal a win.

UFC DFS Pick: Alonzo Menifield via Second-Round TKO/KO.

Cody Stamann $9,100 vs. Brain Kelleher $7,100

Cody Stamann

  • Age: 30
  • Height: 5-foot-5
  • Weight: 135 lbs
  • Reach: 64.5 in.
  • Record: 18-2-1
  • Striking Accuracy: 49%
  • Betting Odds: -275

Stamann is a solid wrestler; and he will walk his opponents down always looking to shoot and get the fight to the mat. He throws heavy kicks to the body and head, and throws a  nasty one-two, overhand right combination with power. Stamann will mix in powerful spinning back kicks to the body, and he will mix in a round kicks to the head. Stamann’s best chance at a victory,  will be taken  this fight to the mat, where I feel his wrestling will be too much for Kelleher to handle.

Brian Kelleher

  • Age: 33
  • Height: 5-foot-5
  • Weight: 145 lbs
  • Reach: 66 in.
  • Record: 21-10-0
  • Striking Accuracy: 46%
  • Betting Odds: +235

Kelleher is tough and will be looking to start fast, and he throws a solid jab, one-two combination. He will be looking to take this fight to the mat, where he should be able to  use his solid ground game and his dangerous submission attack. In addition, I feel his best path for victory would be to stay upright, while focusing on his striking and accurate combinations. But, I feel Stamann’s wrestling will be to much for Kelleher to deal with.

My preferred play is Stamann, and  I feel his wrestling will be suffocating for Kelleher. Although, I would have a couple of lineups with Kelleher, because there is the possibility of a finish by submission.

UFC DFS Pick: Cody Stamann via Unanimous Decision.

Chase Hooper $8,500 vs. Alex Caceres $7,700

Chase Hooper

  • Age: 20
  • Height: 6-foot-1
  • Weight:145 lbs
  • Reach: 74 in.
  • Record: 9-0-1
  • Striking Accuracy: N/A
  • Betting Odds: -150

Hooper is decent wrestler; and his submission game is dangerous. He has nasty ground and pound from full mount position, and is extremely hard to deal with on the mat. Hooper displayed how dangerous his grappling is, when he absolutely destroyed Daniel Teymur from the mounted triangle position. His best chance at a victory, will be taking this fight to the mat, where he should have no problem locking in a submission.

Alex Caceres

  • Age: 31
  • Height: 5-foot-8
  • Weight: 145 lbs
  • Reach: 73.5 in.
  • Record: 15-1-0
  • Striking Accuracy: 49%
  • Betting Odds: +130

Caceres is a good striker; and he  fights from the southpaw stands and throws nasty left and right hooks. He throws solid kicks to the legs and body, and he will mix in spinning back kicks.  Although,  he can struggle when taken to the mat, but he does have good grappling defense.  Caceres’s best path to victory, will be to keep this fight standing whereas,  I think he has more experience in the octagon and the striking advantage.

My preferred play is Hooper, whereas I feel his submission game will be to much for Caceres to deal with.

UFC DFS Pick: Chase Hooper via Second-Round Submission.

Eddie Wineland $6,900 vs. Sean O’Malley $9,300

Eddie Wineland

  • Age: 35
  • Height: 5-foot-6
  • Weight: 135 lbs
  • Reach: 72 in.
  • Record: 24-13-1
  • Striking Accuracy: 28%
  • Betting Odds: +360

Wineland likes to stand and bang, therefore, that probably will be his best shot at pulling off a win in this fight. He throws a solid straight right hand, jab combination and it has stopping power behind it. Wineland throws leg kicks and round kicks to the body, and he throws a nice one-two, straight right that when landed clean; and it will put his opponents lights out. So, I think his best chance at victory is to make this fight a brawl, using his combinations and straight right hand to slow O’Malley’s attack down.

Sean O’Malley

  • Age: 25
  • Height: 5-foot-9
  • Weight: 135 lbs
  • Reach: 69 in.
  • Record: 11-0-0
  • Striking Accuracy: 56%
  • Betting Odds: -440

O’Malley is a sneaky striker. His head feints and fakes will fool his opponents, and he will unload an overhand right that will shut his opponents lights out. He will throw spinning back kicks that when landed clean, , devastating to his opponents. O’Malley is an elite striker; with a huge arsenal and everything is dangerous, but his right hand is the power shot . O’Malley will unleash his arsenal and bring a heavy striking attack, which will be his best path to victory.

My preferred play is O’ Malley, I feel he is the better fighter everywhere, and his striking attack will be too much for Wineland to endure.

UFC DFS Pick: Sean O’Malley via First-Round TKO/KO.

Raphael Assuncao $7,6OO vs. Cody Garbrandt $8,600

Raphael Assuncao

  • Age: 37
  • Height: 5-foot-4
  • Weight: 135 lbs
  • Reach: 66.5 in.
  • Record: 27-7-0
  • Striking Accuracy: 40%
  • Betting Odds: +125

Assuncao is a good striker; and he has nice movement and decent hand speed. He throws a quick and solid jab, one-two combination, and will mix in his overhand right. Assuncao will throw kicks to the legs and body, and will throw an occasional head kick. He is a strong grappler, therefore taking this fight to the mat will be his best path to victory. Taking Garbrandt down should give him a chance for grinding out a decision win.

Cody Garbrandt

  • Age: 28
  • Height: 5-foot-7
  • Weight: 135 lbs
  • Reach: 65.5 in.
  • Record: 11-3-0
  • Striking Accuracy: 37%
  • Betting Odds: -145

Garbrandt is a good boxer; and he throws a nasty right, left hook combination that is dangerous and powerful. He throws heavy kicks to the body and will throw nasty round kicks to the  head, which can inflict damage to his opponents. Garbrandt is a solid wrestler; and he is particularly good in scramble exchanges, if he should get taken down he should have no problem getting back to his feet. Garbrandt’s best path to victory, will be to use his boxing and striking to pick Assuncao apart.

My preferred play is Garbrandt, I think his head movement and boxing will be too much for Assuncao to withstand.

UFC DFS Pick: Cody Garbrandt via Unanimous Decision.

Amanda “The Lioness” Nunes $9,400 vs. Felicia “FeeNom” Spencer $6,800

Amanda ‘The Lioness’ Nunes

  • Age: 32
  • Height: 5-foot-7
  • Weight: 145 lbs
  • Reach: 69 in.
  • Record: 19-4-0
  • Striking Accuracy: 51%
  • Betting Odds: -600

Nunes is a solid striker. She is an aggressive fighter and lives up to her nickname. Therefore, once she gets her opponents hurt, she never stops coming. Her hands are packed with power, and she is a  well-rounded fighter. Nunes is probably the best finisher in the bantamweight division. She throws a right hook that is dangerous, and it will put her opponents lights out in a hurry. I feel  her best path to victory is using her powerful striking, fast hands and heavy kicks to stop any attack of Spencer’s.

Felicia “FeeNom” Spencer

  • Age: 29
  • Height: 5-foot-5
  • Weight: 135 lbs
  • Reach: 68 in.
  • Record: 8-1-0
  • Striking Accuracy: N/A
  • Betting Odds: +450

Spencer is a tough and aggressive fighter; and she throws a nasty spinning backfist that is dangerous when landed clean. She has power in her hands, which can put her opponents lights out. Spencer will throw nasty elbows, and they will  inflict damage to her opponents. Spencer has a solid chin; and she proved that when she fought Cris Cyborg. She throws a nice jab, straight right combination that is accurate an effective. Spencer’s only hope for victory over Nunes, will be to get this fight to the mat, where she should be looking for a submission. Although, I feel she will get d0minated by Nunes.

My preferred play is Nunes, I feel her power and dominant striking will be too much for Spencer to handle.

UFC DFS Pick:  AmandaThe Loiness” Nunes via Second-Round TKO/KO.
