Leading up until the start of the first game, bid on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the backup, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.

The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike regular MLB DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real-time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final pitch of the night’s final game.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 1B, Toronto Blue Jays

Guerrero had himself quite the weekend, with three homers in three games as the Blue Jays clubbed the Rangers by a combined score of 25-2 in those contests. Toronto will look to keep up the good vibes against Nick Pivetta, who has been very inconsistent of late. In fact, his 5.40 ERA in the month of June was his worst time on the calendar. Guerrero gets to take aim for a couple of games in Buffalo before the Jays head north of the border for the remainder of the season. Both parks are great places to hit, but this will certainly keep him happy until the end of the month. To put a bow on this selection, Guerrero is 3-for-5 with a double and a homer against Pivetta. Guerrero also has a zaftig .486 batting average against Boston with five doubles and four homers this season.

Tyler Naquin, OF, Cincinnati Reds

This should be a fun, high-scoring game at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati tonight. Naquin is projected to bat fifth in the Reds lineup and has one of the best value grades (3.3) of any player on tonight’s slate, according to Awesemo’s projections. Jared Eickhoff will start on the mound for the Mets before their disastrous bullpen takes over. Naquin may have plenty of success before the bullpen comes in, though. Eickhoff has allowed 14 hits, seven runs and six homers in his last 8.2 innings of work.

Trey Mancini, OF, Baltimore Orioles

Say what you want about batter-versus-pitcher metrics, but Mancini gets a great matchup against Rays left-hander Ryan Yarbrough, a guy he has gone 6-for-20 with two doubles and three homers against. It is also worth noting that 14 of Yarbrough’s 15 homers allowed this season have come against right-handed batters. Home Run Derby Mancini could make an appearance tonight considering he has a .917 OPS against lefties this season.
