Best Monkey Knife Fight MLB Picks for Tuesday’s Slate | Today, 6/22

Major League Baseball officially began its crackdown on pitchers employing “sticky substances” to aid their performance yesterday. How these new regulations affect MLB DFS and fantasy baseball picks going forward, if at all, remains to be seen. For now, it’s business as usual when it comes to selecting MLB picks. Speaking of, Monkey Knife Fight has a whole host of contests for all 15 games on Tuesday’s slate. Read on for some insight and picks for a pair of contests.

Blue Jays vs. Marlins ‘More or Less’ Contest (5x Buy-In)

Monkey Knife Fight MLB fantasy baseball picks DFS projections rankings Cavan Biggio Blue Jays Marlins strikeouts hits walks total bases

Sandy Alcantara has had a phenomenal 2021 campaign thus far as the Marlins staff ace. While he comes into tonight’s game having tossed more than the Monkey Knife Fight MLB line of 5.5 strikeouts in three straight games, the best option here appears to be under. Alcantara got roughed up a bit when he faced the Blue Jays earlier this month. While he managed to get through six full innings, he allowed four runs on nine hits and only recorded four total strikeouts. As a team, Toronto strikes out the sixth-fewest times per game on average. A five-strikeout total feels like Alcantara’s ceiling tonight.

The second leg of this matchup considers Toronto infielder Cavan Biggio. He has seen the ball well of late, both in terms of hitting and drawing walks. The MLB picks line for this contest is 1.5 total hits and walks. That is a number that Biggio has exceeded through varying combinations in seven of his last nine games played with multiple at-bats. Look to ride with the hot hand and take the over here.

Speaking of hot bats, Marlins slugger Adam Duvall rounds out this Monkey Knife Fight MLB contest. Although he went 0-for-4 on Sunday, Duvall has been on a nice run of late. He hit two home runs on both Friday and Saturday this past weekend, giving him seven total over his last 10 games. Duvall only needs to go yard once to clear the line of 1.5 total bases this evening. Considering that he has tagged Blue Jays starter Ross Stripling for two hits in three prior at-bats against him, there’s a real chance Duvall can clear this total bases prop.

Dodgers vs. Padres ‘Rapidfire’ Contest (2.5x Buy-In)

Monkey Knife Fight MLB fantasy baseball picks DFS Fernando Tatis Jr. projections rankings home runs points Manny Machado Mookie Betts Max Muncy Dodgers Padres

For those looking for some late-night West coast baseball, tonight’s matchup between the Dodgers and Padres is worth staying up for. Monkey Knife Fight offers users several ways to get involved and make MLB picks on this Southern California rivalry. Using Awesemo’s MLB DFS projections, we can look to find an edge on this contest involving fantasy point outputs for a quartet of stars.

The first matchup in this contest has Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. laying 0.5 fantasy points to Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts. Awesemo’s projections have this being a very close call. Tatis is projected for 9.69 fantasy points tonight, while Betts comes in at 9.01. Tatis has been the hotter batter of late. He reached base four times last night and scored a pair of runs. It’s tough to go against the San Diego superstar.

In the second matchup to round out this Monkey Knife Fight MLB contest, Manny Machado is laying 0.5 fantasy points to Max Muncy. Awesemo projects Machado to finish with 7.41 points tonight compared to 6.94 for Muncy. The advantage clearly goes to Machado when looking at prior history for each player against the respective starters in tonight’s game. He has a .296 career batting average and three home runs against Dodgers lefty Clayton Kershaw. Meanwhile, Muncy is 0-for-8 against Padres starter Blake Snell with five strikeouts. We’ll look to lay the half-point with Machado in this matchup.
