Monkey Knife Fight UFC DFS Picks | UFC 265: Lewis vs. Gane

All of these UFC picks are found on the all-day slate. However, much like odds that update throughout the day, contests at MKF are subject to change. So if you like these MMA picks below, it is wise to jump on them quickly.

UFC Picks More or Less | Pick: 2, Prize: 2.5x Buy-In

Ciryl Gane vs. Derrick Lewis

UFC Picks

Gane comes into UFC 265 as the heavy favorite over Lewis. Each of Gane’s last two fights has gone the distance, which could help him exceed the 95.5-strike mark. Of course, the longer these guys are on the mat, the more striking opportunities they’ll have. Gane did get over the 100-strike mark in those last two lengthy fights, so we should expect that trend to continue.

Lewis, on the other hand, hasn’t needed to be so durable in his contests. Each of his last two fights has ended via KO/TKO on punches, so this will certainly be a different style than Gane is used to. The elevation in class should make Lewis throw more punches and, thus, exceed his much lower mark of 42.5. Sure, Lewis is the heavy underdog in this fight, but he can certainly make things interesting.

Pedro Munhoz vs. Jose Aldo

UFC Picks

The Munhoz-Aldo matchup is slated to be a good one, with the betting odds slightly in favor of Aldo at -115. On Monkey Knife Fight, though, you would be led to believe Munhoz has the upper hand here with a much higher number of strikes to reach.

Munhoz must exceed 94.5 strikes, a mark that he has hit in two of his last three fights. The only misnomer in that grouping was when Munhoz landed on 94 in his last contest against Jimmie Rivera. Each of Munhoz’s last three fights has gone to a decision, so the length of this fight will certainly work in his favor.

Aldo has a much different fighting style than his opponent, not trying to work in as many strikes. In this matchup, Aldo must exceed 62.5 strikes. Three of Aldo’s last four fights have gone to a decision, but I don’t think the length of the fight will help him. Aldo is set in his ways, so we shouldn’t expect him to come out and start swinging immediately.
