Coke 600 NASCAR DFS Tournament & GPP Picks | DraftKings & FanDuel

The field has been set for Sunday’s Coke 600 race at Charlotte after practice and qualifying took place late Saturday evening during race conditions. With Denny Hamlin and Kurt Busch leading the field to green on Sunday, let’s dive into the best NASCAR DFS plays for tournaments.

NASCAR DFS GPP Picks Today: Coke 600

NASCAR stays close to home this weekend as they are hosting their crown jewel event, the Coke 600, at Charlotte Motor Speedway. There isn’t much uniqueness to the track itself; it is a mile-and-a-half, cookie-cutter track, but the drivers face the twist of a 600-mile race compared to the normal 400 to 500 they normally run at intermediates. This race will feel like a marathon, and with an evening start, they will end up taking the checkered late into the night. The 600 miles will mean dominator points are more abundant than normal, with 400 laps scheduled to run. So multi-dominator builds will be the optimal way to go, as there are nearly 300 points up for grabs from fast and laps led points alone. Keep in mind that the pricing is a bit stiff up top, so it’s not as easy to just jam in as many as possible, but getting at least two per lineup should be the focal point this weekend.

Top Driver Picks & Projections

Kyle Busch $11,100 DraftKings/$14,000 FanDuel (4th)

With Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin soaking up the majority of the ownership up top, there’s a strong chance a few Joe Gibbs drivers will go a bit overlooked in tournaments. Busch saw his price tag rise mightily from the previous week, but with the way he’s been performing it is certainly deserved. He has been crushing intermediate tracks since last year, and the Toyotas in general have had a lot of speed recently.

Martin Truex Jr. $10,200 DraftKings/$13,000 FanDuel (14th)

Similar to above, there is a lot of ownership going to two drivers up top, meaning lower ownership for the rest of the bunch. Truex is in a fantastic spot, as he posted fast five- and 10-lap average in practice on Saturday. He also excels at night races and has a very strong history here at Charlotte, making him the perfect tournament play. The 14th-place starting spot gives him solid place differential upside as well.

Kurt Busch $8,600 DraftKings/$8,500 FanDuel (2nd)

Many won’t want to roster Busch with this high of a starting spot since he isn’t a regular dominator to roster most weeks. But he did just recently tear it up at Kansas, and his price is a bit low for a driver with dominator potential in a 400-lap race with premium track position to start.

Christopher Bell $8,400 DraftKings/$9,500 FanDuel (3rd)

Similar to Kurt Busch above, the hope is that the high starting position will scare people off of Bell, and the goal is to be heavily invested in JGR and all the Toyotas this weekend. The price is also very fair for a JGR driver, and he has flashed dominator potential multiple times this season.

Bubba Wallace $6,900 DraftKings/$6,000 FanDuel (7th)

Though he is not a comfortable roster, the speed Wallace showed at Kansas several weeks ago cannot be ignored, as he grabbed a top-10 finish despite his woes on pit road. Toyota is a prime target, and Watson is Kurt Busch’s teammate and should have a very solid run. The starting spot is high, but this makes for a low-owned leverage play off of some chalk.
