NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Tuesday, December 13
Core Play of the Day — Chris Paul Phoenix Suns-Houston Rockets
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 36.67 | FanDuel: 35.97
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 47.60% | FanDuel: 35.50%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $6,200 | FanDuel: $7,200
With Devin Booker out for the second straight game with a hamstring injury, Chris Paul looks like a clear core building block across all formats on Tuesday. In a really good spot matched up with a Rockets defense that ranks 25th in the league against opposing point guards, Paul has played 34 minutes in each of the past two games, and he should have the ball in his hands a ton tonight with Booker on the sidelines.
While he’s certainly more solid than spectacular at this point in his career, Paul still has clear upside, as evidenced by the 46 DraftKings points he put up two games ago. At only $6,200 on DraftKings and $7,200 on FanDuel, Paul is way too cheap on both sites.
Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities
Tonight Kevon Looney has a 1.5 over/under line on his assists prop for his matchup against the Bucks. Stokastic’s NBA DFS projections have him for 2.40 assists and a 64% likelihood that he reaches this threshold. These types of wagers with a high likelihood of success but a lower payout upside are best used as a leg in a straight or same-game parlay.

Phoenix Suns-Houston Rockets
Going right back to this game, in potentially the spot of the night for NBA DFS, there is a lot to like on both Phoenix and Houston tonight. For the Suns, with Booker out, everyone else on Phoenix becomes more viable, with Paul and Deandre Ayton looking like two of the top overall plays on the slate. Mikal Bridges is also a really strong play while Dario Saric is picking up a lot of ownership on both DraftKings and FanDuel and it makes sense given how cheap he is across both sites.
For Houston, Jae’Sean Tate remains out, but other than that the Rockets appear to be healthy. There is still plenty to like here, however, with both Kevin Porter Jr. and Alperen Sengun standing out as reduced price tags on DraftKings. Jalen Green is also in play on both sites, but looks like a slightly better play on FanDuel at only $6,800. Jabari Smith Jr. is worth mentioning as well, as he is starting finally starting to show signs of life. At $5,300 on DraftKings Smith offers nice upside in the midrange.
Final Thoughts on NBA DFS Picks Today
There are only five teams in action tonight, so while there will be news rolling in throughout the day, it should be easy enough to handle.
