NBA DFS Building Blocks Today: Thursday, December 15
Core Play of the Day — Khris Middleton Milwaukee Bucks-Memphis Grizzlies
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Point Projections: DraftKings: 35.31 | FanDuel: 34.33
- Stokastic’s Preliminary Rostered Projections: DraftKings: 31.40% | FanDuel: 38.80%
- DFS Salary: DraftKings: $6,800 | FanDuel: $6,900
With Jrue Holiday out for the second straight game due to an illness, Khris Middleton looks like a clear core building block on both DraftKings and FanDuel on Thursday. After missing the first month-plus of the season while recovering from wrist surgery, Middleton has been more solid than spectacular in his first six games back, but at only $6,800 on DraftKings and $6,900 on FanDuel, he’s one of the top points-per-dollar plays in all formats on Thursday.
Routinely in the $8-9K range throughout much of his career, Middleton gets a huge usage boost with Jrue Holiday off the floor, and despite slight price increases on both DraftKings and FanDuel, he’s still way too cheap across both sites.
Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Picks Today – Sports Wagering Opportunities
Tonight Kevin Porter Jr. has a 1.5 over/under line on his 3-pointers prop for his matchup against the Suns. Stokastic’s NBA DFS projections have him for 2.13 3-pointers and a 64% likelihood that he reaches this threshold. These types of wagers with a high likelihood of success but a lower payout upside are best used as a leg in a straight or same-game parlay.

Milwaukee Bucks-Memphis Grizzlies
It doesn’t get much better than Giannis versus Ja and in potentially the spot of the night for NBA DFS, there is a lot to like on both Milwaukee and Memphis tonight. For the Bucks, with Holiday out, everyone else becomes more viable, with Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo looking like two of the top overall plays on the slate. Going back to his old stomping grounds, Grayson Allen is also a really strong play while Pat Connaughton and Jevon Carter look like solid value plays on DraftKings.
For Memphis, Desmond Bane remains out, but other than that the Grizzlies appear to be healthy. There is still plenty to like here, however, with both Ja Morant standing out as an elite spend up option on both sites. Jaren Jackson Jr. is also in play on both sites, but at $7,600 on DraftKings and $8,000 on FanDuel, he’s the most expensive he’s been all season.
Final Thoughts on NBA DFS Picks Today
There are only eight teams in action tonight, so while there will be news rolling in throughout the day, it should be easy enough to handle.
