NBA Fantasy: Boom Bust Tool Projections for DraftKings + FanDuel Lineups Today 5/26

Today’s NBA fantasy slate features more fun Game 2 matchups. Last night, the Lakers evened their series against the Suns while the Clippers shockingly fell into an 0-2 hole against the Mavericks. The Jazz finished with the best record in the NBA this season and are playing to even their series against the Grizzlies after faltering in Game 1. For FanDuel and DraftKings purposes, Utah presents a tough situation since Donovan Mitchell returns to action tonight. This impacts how most of the roster is viewed, as well as the projections for the Awesemo NBA DFS Boom vs. Bust Tool.

NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom Candidates

Joel Embiid vs. Wizards: $10,100 DraftKings/$10,100 FanDuel

50.1% DraftKings Boom/36.1% FanDuel Boom

Embiid failing from a fantasy standpoint in the first game of this series was a total fluke. Early foul trouble greatly reduced his playing time, and he ultimately ended up logging less than 30 minutes. For tonight, he should play in the neighborhood of 35 minutes as long as this game is competitive and he avoids fouls. Embiid still managed to score 41.5 DraftKings points in his limited minutes in Game 1, and he has the best boom rating of any player on FanDuel and DraftKings today.

Derrick Rose vs. Hawks: $5,900 DraftKings/$5,900 FanDuel

31.3% DraftKings Boom/24.2% FanDuel Boom

Trae Young is the top enemy right now in New York City. He propelled the Hawks to a Game 1 win over the Knicks in one of the most entertaining games at Madison Square Garden in a long time. As good as he was on offense, Young remains one of the worst perimeter defenders in the NBA and he gets attacked by opposing point guards. One of the more surprising aspects of the Knicks’ rotation in the opening game of the series was how much they used the bench, and Rose specifically. He ended up playing 38 minutes and could wind up starting over Elfrid Payton tonight.

NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates

Jordan Clarkson vs. Grizzlies: $7,100 DraftKings/$6,900 FanDuel

62.9% DraftKings Bust/73.5% FanDuel Bust

All indications are that Donovan Mitchell will return from his ankle injury tonight. He isn’t listed on the injury report and was reportedly upset that he was held out of the Jazz’s Game 1 loss to Memphis. Assuming Mitchell is back in action, Utah becomes much less appealing from a fantasy standpoint. Clarkson, Mike Conley and Joe Ingles all lose out on playing time and usage. Of the group, Clarkson is the weakest play. He is priced way up and was only playing 20 to 24 minutes per game the last time Mitchell was healthy.
