NBA DFS Picks Leverage & Optimizer Plays | March 9

High-End Tier

Stephen Curry ($10,500) has the highest projection on the slate, which does not have a single player currently projected for 50 or more fantasy points. Curry is projected to have 7% ownership against the Grizzlies, an 11% chance of booming and 10% chance of being optimal, according to the Stokastic Boom/Bust Tool.

Julius Randle ($10,000) will see both his ownership and projection go up if Jalen Brunson, currently questionable, is ultimately ruled out. In a nice matchup — a Kings team that plays at a top-10 pace and has a bottom-10 defensive rating — Randle is currently projected for 8% ownership, an 8% chance of booming and 10% chance of being optimal.

Mid-Tier

Cameron Thomas ($4,600) is one of the top point-per-dollar plays on the slate, with Spencer Dinwiddie, Cameron Johnson, and Nic Claxton out for the Nets. Thomas is projected for 42% ownership, a 59% chance of booming and 50% chance of being optimal.

Jalen Green ($6,400) is too cheap for a Rockets team that will be without Kevin Porter Jr. and in a matchup against a Pacers team ranked in the top 10 in pace of play and bottom 10 in defensive rating. Green is projected for 29% ownership, a 30% chance of booming and 27% chance of being optimal.

Bobby Portis ($6,600) has a great leverage score, as the Bucks will be playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo. Portis is projected for 22% ownership, a 22% chance of booming and 29% chance of being optimal.

Value Tier

Day’Ron Sharpe ($3,000) should start at center for the Nets and has the best value score on the entire slate. Sharpe is projected for 51% ownership, a 73% chance of booming and 60% chance of being optimal.

Seth Curry ($3,500) should also play extended minutes for the depleted Nets. Curry is projected for 32% ownership, a 33% chance of booming and 22% chance of being optimal.
