10:30 AM ET: With more player availability news coming out, projections have been updated again, and we’ve seen a big shift on FanDuel. The Bengals are now at the top in Overall Rating with a score of 32 and there’s a large gap between them and the 49ers/Rams in the second and third spots (21). The Chiefs are up to fourth overall on FanDuel and the Bills are fifth. We’ll add a final update to this space before lineups lock.

NFL DFS Week 2 Team Stacks – Sunday AM Update #1

As of Sunday at 9:30 AM ET, the Bills are ahead of the pack with a 31 Overall Rating in Stokastic’s DraftKings Week 2 NFL DFS team stack ratings. They’re trailed by the Bengals (23) and 49ers (23) in the top three.

On FanDuel, right now it’s the Jets in the top spot with an Overall Rating of 29, followed by the Ravens (26) and Packers (21). This numerical metric combines key variables like top stack probability, top value probability, and projected ownership. Baltimore (9.8%), Green Bay (9.0%), Buffalo (7.8%) and San Francisco (7.8%) own the highest Top Stack probability ratings on the board.

Week 2 NFL DFS projections will continue to be updated up until kickoff, so keep checking back to our various tools as the numbers are sure to fluctuate.

We’ll return to this space shortly with a final look at the NFL DFS team stack numbers on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Top Week 2 NFL DFS Team Stack: Buffalo Bills

When we look over the top projected team stacks for the Week 2 main slate, we see the Bills in the top spot on DraftKings and tied for fifth on FanDuel in Overall team stackability rating as of Friday afternoon. They have an overall score of 29 and have a 16.5 percent chance of finishing as the top team stack on DK, with only Cincinnati (12.1 percent) and Kansas City (11.5 percent) anywhere close in that regard.

The Bills will take on the Raiders at home as big-time favorites in the NFL odds and are currently rocking the slate’s highest implied team total at 27.75 points. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs are both rating well individually in boom probability and are top options at their respective positions for Week 2 NFL DFS, and unsurprisingly the pair also makes for a strong stack this weekend. If you’re interested in mixing other pieces into your Buffalo stacks, Gabe Davis, Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox all saw at least 80 percent of the snaps in Week 1.

Top Stack Probability on DraftKings: 16.5%
Top Stack Probability on FanDuel: 6.6%
Top Value Probability on DraftKings: 10.4%
Top Value Probability on FanDuel: 7.6%
Expected Rush Percentage: 37.5%

Top Week 2 NFL DFS Team Stack: Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs, who have an implied team total of 27.5 points heading into Sunday, are infinitely more appealing of a team stack now that Travis Kelce is set to return to action in Week 2. Kelce has one of the highest boom probabilities at any position on both DraftKings and FanDuel and the field won’t be shy about pairing him with star quarterback Patrick Mahomes in DFS lineups. It’s when you start thinking about adding more players to KC stacks that things get murky in a hurry, considering the rest of the pass-catching group has left a lot to be desired.

Mahomes may have been disappointing by his lofty standards in the season opener, completing 21 of 39 passes for 226 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in a loss to Detroit, but he and Kelce are in plus spots on the road against Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars. In a game that has the highest over/under of the week at 51.5 points, it wouldn’t really surprise anyone to see Mahomes and Kelce put up slate-winning scores.

Top Stack Probability on DraftKings: 11.5%
Top Stack Probability on FanDuel:
2.5%
Top Value Probability on DraftKings:
7.1%
Top Value Probability on FanDuel: 4.5%
Expected Rush Percentage:
36.9%

Other Week 2 NFL DFS Team Stacks to Consider

Stokastic’s top stacks data is a useful guide for getting a bird’s eye feel for the best and worst stacking spots across different metrics.

For NFL Week 2, we’ve scoured over the DraftKings and FanDuel numbers and found a couple more teams to consider honing in on while building out your daily fantasy football lineups, and it just so happens they’ll be playing each other.

Cincinnati Bengals

This is more geared towards DraftKings, as the Bengals are not ranking nearly as well over on FanDuel. As of Friday afternoon, Cincinnati is ranked as the second-best overall stack on DK with an overall score of 25, behind only the Bills. The Bengals also have one of the highest Top Value marks on DraftKings at 8.4 percent and the lowest expected rush percentage at 33.5 percent.

Joe Burrow ($6,900 on DK) will look to link up with the usual suspects in Ja’Marr Chase ($7,900), Tee Higgins ($6,400), and Tyler Boyd ($3,800) in hopes of righting the ship back on his home turf. There is no doubt Week 1 was an utter disaster for Burrow and the rest of the Cincinnati offense, but we have to have short memories in DFS, and the early DraftKings stacking data is on the side of the Bengals in this Week 2 battle versus the Ravens.

Top Stack Probability on DraftKings: 12.1%
Top Stack Probability on FanDuel: 2.1%
Top Value Probability on DraftKings: 8.4%
Top Value Probability on FanDuel: <0.1%
Expected Rush Percentage: 33.5%

Baltimore Ravens

The Bengals are making some noise in Stokastic’s DraftKings top stack ratings, but it’s their opponents that are projecting better stack-wise on FanDuel. The Ravens, who are expected to run a higher-tempo offense this season, are number one in overall team stackability ratings on FD, with a 12.3 percent chance of being the top stack and a 13.1 percent chance of being the top value. They drop off significantly when we shift over to DK.

Lamar Jackson ($7,600 on FD) has no shortage of weapons at his disposal in 2023. Zay Flowers ($6,600), Rashod Bateman ($5,700), and Odell Beckham Jr. ($5,300) are all involved, and it looks like Mark Andrews ($8,000) has a good chance to return in Week 2 too. This game against Cincinnati should be a fun one in general, particularly from a DFS stacking perspective as we try to figure out which pieces may boom and which may bust.

Top Stack Probability on DraftKings: 2.7%
Top Stack Probability on FanDuel: 12.3%
Top Value Probability on DraftKings: 2.2%
Top Value Probability on FanDuel: 13.1%
Expected Rush Percentage:
49.3%

Of course, these are only a handful of possible team stacking options and there are some other interesting spots to examine for Week 2. Make sure you’re fully utilizing the top stacks tool for both sites, along with the rest of Stokastic’s data, before you finalize your teams.
