PrizePicks NFL DFS: Week 1 Preseason Props

It is important to note that, much like odds that update throughout the day, these props at PrizePicks are subject to change. So if you like these NFL picks below, it is wise to jump on them quickly.

Trey Lance – Over 7.1 Fantasy Points

Lance gets his first NFL action against the two-time defending AFC champs. The 7.1 fantasy-point mark for Lance is achievable, considering he will pick up some yards on the ground. At North Dakota State University, Lance ran the run-pass-option (RPO) offense, and the expectation is that we’ll see a similar type of game plan. According to 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, he plans to start Jimmy Garoppolo for the first series, and then Lance will play the rest of the first half for NFL preseason Week 1. That gives Lance ample time to make good on 7.1 fantasy points, with the optimism of a touchdown cruising us over that mark.

Ke’Shawn Vaughn – Over 4.4 Fantasy Points

Luckily for Vaughn, there won’t be many guys getting in the way of his carries. The defending champ Buccaneers have two running backs with plenty of miles on the tires in Leonard Fournette and Gio Bernard. In addition, Ronald Jones won’t need too much maintenance work in the team’s first preseason game. They are all key pieces to another Super Bowl run later in the season. That leaves Vaughn, who is fourth on the Bucs RB depth chart, with a huge opportunity. The Bengals allowed the fourth-most rushing yards per game (148) last season, so look for Vaughn to smash right through the 4.4 fantasy-point mark.

Jalen Guyton – Over 3.1 Fantasy Points

Guyton had a few big games for the Chargers in 2020, with three games going for 70+ receiving yards. Late in the season, he even got the starting nod in 3-WR sets alongside Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. With both being non-factors tonight, Guyton will be battling for targets with Tyron Johnson and Josh Palmer. What separates Guyton from the others is his big-play ability, as he did have a 72-yard touchdown against the Buccaneers last season. All it could take is one big play for Guyton to exceed his 3.1 fantasy-point mark.
