The 2021 NHL season is nearly a month old and it’s been unpredictable and entertaining. Like many sports, the easiest way to maximize your ceiling is through stacking, and that couldn’t be any truer in NHL DFS. For reference, each goal averages 1.7 assists. In this article I’ll help you find the best stacks and NHL DFS picks for DraftKings and FanDuel fantasy hockey lineups using Awesemo’s Top Stack Tool.

Top Stack: PIT1
With this being a larger slate for NHL DFS, ownership isn’t as much of a concern. As the highest leverage line with over 10% ownership, Pittsburgh’s top line brings it all together.
Twenty-five points combined this season is not exactly something to get excited about, but a 66% Corsi-for and 71% goals most certainly is. The combination of Sidney Crosby, Jake Guentzel and Bryan Rust has been absolute terror for opposing lines since they’ve come together. If those two numbers weren’t enough, they also have a 77% high-danger chances in their 75 minutes. At some point the levy is going to break, and when it does the goals will be flowing.
Along with all of that, the Islanders penalty kill has struggled this year, ranking 29th in xGA. Opportunity has a cost, and with this line having full correlation, you get that return on your investment with their ceiling.

Playing their first game together as a trio for Nashville, their top line draws a nice matchup at home with Detroit. After getting completely smashed by Tampa last game, it was time for a change . ..again.
With Ryan Johansen out, the Predators have failed to find a good fit for their top line center. Today’s opportunity goes to the very cheap Luke Kunin. For some reason, John Hynes had decided to split up Viktor Arvidsson and Filip Forsberg off and on over the last five games. Officially a thing again, today this line is under $16,600 on both sites.
Detroit actually doesn’t have terrible defensive metrics considering the poor record. But with their putrid offense, it gives the opponent plenty of possession and opportunities.
