Both players have averaged 30 points or more per game in this series so far, which already gives these two about 10 points to lose and still win this bet. I can’t imagine either team will truly neutralize either player in the series, and the hope is just to contain them.
Embiid knows he’s got to be the leader for Philadelphia and he’s going to do everything in his power to carry his team to victory, which right now means scoring the basketball. Tatum has more help around him, but he’s also a gifted scorer who knows how to put points on the scoreboard. Since the season resumed, Tatum is averaging 39.8 points per 48 minutes, and Embiid has scored at least 23 points in ever game in which he’s played at least 25 minutes.

Michael Porter Jr. Scores 20+ Points | NBA Odds: +180 PointsBet
Michael Porter Jr. seems to be a streaky shooter, and he found his groove again in Game 2. After struggling in the first game of the playoff series, Porter made 10 of 17 from the field — including 6 of 9 from deep — and scored 28 points in the loss to Utah. He didn’t play much coming down the stretch of the regular season for the Nuggets, and that might explain his poor shooting in Game 1. But he looked as sharp as he did in the early bubble games again on Wednesday in Game 2.
Porter had that four-game stretch in which he averaged 29.3 points and shot 56 percent from the field and nearly 47 percent from 3-point range. That’s the form we saw from him in Denver’s loss Wednesday, so I’m confident he can continue that hot shooting. If Jamal Murray has a bounce-back game as well, that will only help spread the floor for Porter and allow him to be more effective both driving to the rim and taking his shot from the perimeter.

Kristaps Porzingis Makes 3+ 3-Pointers | NBA Odds: +100 PointsBet
If Kristaps Porzingis can avoid getting ejected in Game 3 today, he’ll have a good chance at making three 3s against the Clippers. Porzingis was a 35-percent 3-point shooter during the regular season, but he’s really found a good groove since the restart. He made three of his four attempts from long range in Game 2 and he’s made at least three 3-pointers in four of the eight games he’s played in the bubble.
You have to imagine the Clippers are once again going to put a lot of focus on slowing down Luka Doncic, and that should open the floor more for Porzingis. He took advantage of that space in Game 2, and I expect he’ll be able to have similar success tonight. Los Angeles had the fifth-best 3-point defense in the NBA this season, but I don’t know if they have the matchup to limit a player like Porzingis from the outside.
