Tuesday’s NBA action did not disappoint. The Knicks and Nets started kicked it off on TNT with Brooklyn squeezing out a 112-110 victory at Barclays Center. The Suns came out on top with a 104-96 victory over the Warriors, tying a franchise record 17-game win streak. Wednesday brings more action with nine games across the league. Let’s dive into the best bets to make tonight and overall NBA betting tips for Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Best NBA Betting Picks Tonight | Dec. 1

Hornets vs. Bucks

The Hornets enter tonight’s matchup after two disappointing losses on the road. Charlotte is playing their third game of a four-game road trip, and their opponent does not get any easier. Charlotte has had zero problems on the offensive end of the floor. They lead the league in points, averaging 114.4 per game, led by LaMelo Ball‘s 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists. It has been their defense that has had challenges. The Hornets have allowed 394 points combined over their last three games and rank 28th in defense rating on the season.

The Bucks come into this one with a 13-8 record, winners of seven straight games. After a disappointing 6-8 start to the season, Jrue Holiday has found his stride, and Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to prove why the MVP trophy should be back in his possession. The Bucks will look to defend their home court tonight and tie the Bulls for first in the Central division. Milwaukee is averaging 109.9 points and 14.5 3-pointers, third in the league. Charlotte is allowing 13.4 3’s per game, which is fifth.

According to reports, Mason Plumlee will miss his fourth straight game on Wednesday with a calf injury. The Bucks continue to play without Brook Lopez, who is dealing with a back injury, but this will not stop Milwaukee from taking advantage of the Hornets’ size. Antetokounmpo is one of the best in the game when it comes to points in the paint, a spot where Charlotte ranks 28th in opposing points in the paint. The Hornets will have a tough time finding ways to stop Giannis in the paint and the Bucks from beyond the arc. Charlotte is 3-5 against the spread in the first half on the road. Milwaukee is 9-1 in their last 10 games against the spread in the first half. Have confidence laying the points with the Bucks and watch them come out with an early lead before cruising to victory on Wednesday night.

76ers vs. Celtics

The 76ers are coming off a 101-96 home victory over the Magic. Philadelphia is happy to have Joel Embiid back on the floor. Embiid has posted a double-double in both games since his return from the health and safety protocols. The 76ers are 11-10, tied with the Celtics and Knicks for second in the Atlantic division. Philadelphia will start their four-game road trip in Boston on Wednesday, desperate to string together two wins. The 76ers are sixth in offensive rating, averaging 107.4 points per game.

Jaylen Brown comes into tonight’s contest questionable due to injury management, as he is coming off a hamstring injury. Brown is second on the team in scoring, averaging 22.4 points per game on 47.3% from the field. Boston has started to improve under their Ime Udoka, ranking fifth in defensive rating on the year. Robert Williams and Dennis Schroder will return to the lineup tonight. If Brown does not suit up, expect Schroder to get the starting nod. Three of Boston’s last four games have gone under 200 total points. Boston has struggled shooting, averaging 43.5% from the field — 25th in the league. Philadelphia’s offense, on the other hand, has failed to score more than 96 points in three of their last four games.

Philadelphia will need to prove they can play consistently as a starting unit with their roster finally back intact. The 76ers have an 8-13 over/under record, and the Celtics are 8-12-1 over/under on the year. Both teams rank in the bottom seven in pace. Embiid loves to run the halfcourt offense, slowing down the team’s pace. Boston likes to play with a similar tempo. All signs point to the under cashing in a low-scoring affair in tonight’s divisional matchup.
