NASCAR heads to South Carolina to kick off the start of the playoffs this weekend for their second trip at one of NASCAR’S most popular tracks. Denny Hamlin $11,100 DraftKings / $13,500 FanDuel (11th)

With the majority of DFS players flocking towards rostering Kyle Larson, Hamlin will come in at a steep discount and is arguably the top driver at Darlington over the past few seasons. His long run numbers in practice were strong and he has shown elite speed at similar track types this season. The starting position upside offers a unique place differential hybrid dominator play. Ross Chastain $10,000 DraftKings / $11,000 FanDuel (12th)

The results have been absolutely dreadful recently for Chastain, but it’s not for a lack of speed, he is just getting caught up in some serious bad lucky over the past couple of months. But the speed is there and he has been a front runner multiple times before getting taken out. He showed strong speed in practice and he has always shown promise at Darlington dating back to the lower level series.

William Byron $8,900 DraftKings / $9,000 FanDuel (3rd)

Speaking of drivers in a slump, that would be putting it lightly for Byron as he only has one top ten finish the past several months. The speed also hasn’t really been there for him either, he has just been bad to put it bluntly. But Darlington has been a good track for Byron in the past and he actually dominated this race earlier in the year and was on his way to a win or top three finish before Joey Logano put him in the fence in the last few laps. His high starting spot and recent performance should keep his ownership low.

Erik Jones $7,200 DraftKings / $8,000 FanDuel (15th)

Jones is a former winner at the historic venue, albeit in greater equipment, but nonetheless he knows his way around this track well and has been fast at the higher tire wear venues this season. He lit up the practice board early on and his mid pack starting spot coupled by multiple high place differential position drivers starting near him in price will keep him as a nice pivot option in tournaments. Ricky Stenhouse Jr $6,500 DraftKings / $5,800 FanDuel (20th)

While he has a poor reputation, Ricky has actually been great at similar tracks this season with multiple top ten finishes and steep tracks have always been his best types. He showed some speed early on in Saturday’s session and should contend for a top 15 finish at lower ownership due to the drivers he is priced around.
