The Jock MKT Starter Kit: NBA DFS Picks | April 27
How to Play at Jock MKT
To begin, enter the NBA Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is under way. Leading up until the start of the first game, bid up on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the back-up, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.
The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike in regular NBA DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final buzzer of the night’s final game.
At the end of the games, each player share is paid out based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. It’s as simple as that! For more information, go to jockmkt.com.

Strategy Session — A Bevy of Bad Defenses
There may only be six games on the schedule Tuesday, but there is no shortage of bad defenses to try and exploit. In fact, five of the bottom 10 teams in the league in defensive rating will be in action. One of those bad defensive teams is the Thunder, who will be facing the Celtics in Boston. However, the Celtics have already decided to rest Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker. That could make Jaylen Brown, who is already averaging 24.4 points and 18.8 shot attempts per game, a prime player to pursue during the IPO phase. Marcus Smart, who has an Awesemo projection of 32.51 fantasy points, could also provide a nice return.
The Raptors are set to host the Nets, who have the seventh-worst defensive rating. However, the Raptors just played Monday and have been sitting several of their starters for at least one half of a back-to-back set recently. That is despite being firmly in the hunt for the play-in tournament. They will be a team to monitor leading up to tip-off, as some excellent value opportunities could open up if some starters are ruled out. One to maybe pursue early is Khem Birch, who should already play more with Chris Boucher (knee) out. If Pascal Siakam also sits, then Birch could be extremely busy up front.
Jock MKT NBA Picks Tonight
Stephen Curry – Few players are as locked in as Curry is right now. Across the last 14 games, he has averaged 37.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 6.5 3-pointers. He shot an incredible 52.3 percent from the field during that stretch, including 46.9 percent from behind the arc. The last time he played the Mavericks, he hit 11 3-pointers on his way to 57 points. Look for him to shine again during his rematch. The Awesemo Jock MKT NBA projections certainly like with him with 45.48 projected fantasy points, which is the fourth most for anyone on the slate.
Karl-Anthony Towns – The Timberwolves might be out of the playoff hunt, but that hasn’t stopped Towns from providing gaudy numbers. As the leader of the Timberwolves offense, he has averaged 26.4 points, 12.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.2 blocks over his last 16 games. He is on pace to average at least 17 shot attempts per game for the third straight season, which leaves him with an incredibly high floor for his matchup against a Rockets team that has the sixth-worst defensive rating. His Awesemo Jock MKT NBA projected fair IPO price is $11.
Kelly Olynyk – Olynyk has seen his fantasy value increase dramatically since joining the Rockets. Over his last 13 games, he has averaged 18.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 steals. He hasn’t been one of the players that the team has looked to rest, and in fact, he averaged 32 minutes a game during that stretch. Even with Christian Wood expected to play after sitting out Sunday against the Nuggets, Olynyk could still thrive against a Timberwolves team that has the third-worst defensive rating.
