The Jock MKT Starter Kit: NBA DFS Picks | Apr. 6
How to Play at Jock MKT
To begin, enter the NBA Daily Market when the Initial Public Offering (IPO) phase is under way. Leading up until the start of the first game, bid up on players you are interested in acquiring on the open market. Is there a player who you consider a favorite to finish at the top of the rankings? Invest as much or as little as you want in their fantasy performance, with shares beginning at $1 and ranging all the way up to $25. See potential injury news that could open up an opportunity for another player to acquire fantasy points? Make speculative bids for shares of the back-up, hoping for that news to break after the IPO phase is complete.
The next part of the game occurs during live trading. Unlike in regular NBA DFS where your plays are locked in, you can buy and sell shares of players while the games are happening based on their production and where you could see them finishing amongst the field. Track as current points, projected points, and live price for each player is updated in real time, allowing you to track the action and invest in an instant to account for news. Trading can be done all the way up until the final buzzer of the night’s final game.
At the end of the games, each player share is paid out based on their final rankings of fantasy points amongst the field. If the shares you own are worth more than what you paid, you win money. It’s as simple as that! For more information, go to jockmkt.com.

Strategy Session — Stars Galore
There are plenty of superstars to choose from for this eight-game slate, so zeroing in on a few of them during the IPO phase might be a wise idea. As far as the ones who have the best matchups, it’s hard to argue against Kawhi Leonard and Paul George not being among the top options. They will face the Trail Blazers, who have the second-worst defensive rating in the league. The Clippers didn’t play Monday and don’t play again following Tuesday until Thursday, so there should be no concern over either player being rested for this contest. Their Awesemo projections check in at 40.49 and 38.48 fantasy points, respectively.
A couple of stars to monitor for updates are Zion Williamson (thumb) and Brandon Ingram (toe). Both players have missed three straight games, and it’s uncertain if they will be able to play Tuesday against the Hawks. If they do play, it would be a favorable matchup given that the Hawks have the ninth-worst defensive rating. They are also compromised up front with John Collins (ankle) out, which could benefit Williamson if he is able to take the floor.
Maybe the most exciting matchup between superstars is when Stephen Curry and the Warriors host Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks. The problem is these two teams are heading in very different directions, so this game could get out of hand in a hurry. If that were to happen, both Curry and Giannis could spend added time on the bench in the second half. If choosing between the two, Giannis might be the safer option because, if the Bucks do race out to a big lead, he would likely have played a key role in them doing so. Curry will also likely have to deal with Jrue Holiday, who is one of the best defensive guards in the league.
Jock MKT NBA Picks for Tonight
Trae Young — Young had a rare off night against the Warriors on Sunday, scoring just 13 points to go along with three assists and seven turnovers. He shot 3-for-11 from the field. with the 11 attempts being a rare performance given that he’s averaged 17.6 shot attempts per game for the season. Look for him to be more aggressive and get back on track in what is a very favorable matchup against the Pelicans, who have the third-worst defensive rating. As far as what it may cost to acquire him, Young’s projected fair IPO price is $8.2.
Joel Embiid — After sitting out Sunday for rest, Embiid is expected to make his return for this matchup against the Celtics. He showed no signs of rust in his return from a knee injury, posting 24 points, eight rebounds and three blocks across 29 minutes Saturday against the Timberwolves. Now he’ll take on a Celtics team that he has dominated in two previous meetings. The first time they faced off, Embiid recorded 42 points and 10 rebounds. In their rematch he finished with 38 points and 11 rebounds. The Awesemo projections like him to dominate again, with his projected 40.83 fantasy points being the third highest among players set to play Tuesday.
Bogdan Bogdanovic — Young isn’t the only player on the Hawks to target for their favorable matchup with the Pelicans. Bogdanovic has received more playing time lately, averaging 30 minutes across the last 10 games. He hasn’t let his increased opportunities go to waste, recording averages of 17.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.4 steals during that stretch. That included a game against these same Pelicans in which he posted 26 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, although it should be noted that Young did not play in that contest. Still, Bogdanovic’s stock is clearly on the rise.
