NBA Daily Fantasy Picks: Awesemo Grades | March 15

Power Forward: Giannis Antetokounmpo

DraftKings Grades: A, Values: B

FanDuel Grades: A, Values: A

Per usual, Antetokounmpo is extremely underpriced on both DraftKings and FanDuel, and a near must-play for all formats. Fresh off back-to-back triple-doubles, he is scoring 62.5 DraftKings points per game across his last 10 starts. He erupted for 70.75 DraftKings points in Saturday night’s win over the Wizards and will have a rematch against the team tonight. Washington ranks first in pace and 27th in defensive efficiency this season, so this is arguably the best possible matchup for Antetokounmpo.

There isn’t a single player on this Wizards roster that has any chance of slowing him down. Since these two clubs produced 244 points Saturday night, Vegas has given Monday’s rematch a slate-high game total of 242.5 points. This is the largest total Antetokounmpo been in this season, and in the seven Bucks games that have presented a total of at least 230 points this year, Giannis averaged 61 DraftKings points per game.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 22.2%, FanDuel 39.1%

Point Guard: Immanuel Quickley

DraftKings Grades: B, Values: A

FanDuel Grades: B, Values: A

The Knicks will continue to be without Derrick Rose (health-and-safety protocols) tonight, and Elfrid Payton (doubtful, hamstring) is also expected to miss his second straight game. In the absence of these two point guards Saturday, Quickley shined with 35.75 DraftKings points across 33 minutes against the Thunder. This marked the second time in the past two weeks that Rose and Payton have missed a contest collectively and on that other occasion, Quickley was great with 41 DraftKings points in 29 minutes against the Spurs.

Regardless of if he starts or not, Quickley is the primary target from this situation. In all the time he has played sans Payton, Rose, Mitchell Robinson (out, hand) and Dennis Smith Jr. this season, Quickley has amassed a team-high 29.6% usage rate. On top of that, tonight’s matchup against the Nets is an appealing spot for point guards. Brooklyn ranks eighth in pace and 25th in defensive rating this year. Per Awesemo’s projections, Quickley is a top-five point-per-dollar value on both DraftKings and FanDuel tonight.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 31.0%, FanDuel 45.5%

Shooting Guard: Paul George

DraftKings Grades: A, Values: C

FanDuel Grades: B, Values: B

The Clippers played last night, but George only logged 23.2 minutes in the blowout loss to the Pelicans. He suited up for both legs of the Clippers’ last back-to-back set and should be a full go for tonight’s matchup against the Mavericks. This clash of Western Conference playoff teams carries the smallest spread of the night (Clippers -2) and is slated for a healthy number of points (227).

Since returning from a six-game absence due to a toe injury last month, George has been a stud in competitive atmospheres, averaging 43.75 DraftKings points per game in the last four Clippers contests that have been decided by fewer than 10 points. Furthermore, he is generating 46.75 DraftKings points per game this year when the spread is under 5 points. His price tags are depressed on both sites, and it wouldn’t be surprising at all if George were to go under-owned tonight, after burning many DFS players on Sunday.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 11.1%, FanDuel 13.7%

Center: Richaun Holmes

DraftKings Grades: B, Values: B

FanDuel Grades: B, Values: A

Hassan Whiteside (health-and-safety protocols) has been forced to self-isolate for the last three weeks and will remain out tonight against the Hornets. With him missing, Holmes’ playing time has expanded to 32.7 minutes per game over his past six, and he has excelled, contributing 37.6 DraftKings points per game during this stretch.

Holmes has collected three straight double-doubles and will be playing in a massive 239.5 game total against the Hornets. Obviously this is one of the top contests of the slate to attack, and his low expected ownerships make Holmes one of the better ways to gain access. When he has been active for a total of 235 points or higher in 2020-21, Holmes has supplied 34.3 DraftKings points per game.

Projected NBA DFS ownership projection: DraftKings 14.5%, FanDuel 5.3%
