Coming off a monster 11-gamer on Friday, Saturday’s main slate has seven games on the docket. This article will analyze Stokastic’s ownership projections to see how to best handle high- and low-owned players in order to gain leverage in DFS tournaments. Let’s get into the top NBA DFS leverage picks for Saturday, including John Wall and Aaron Gordon.
NBA DFS Leverage Picks & Optimizer Plays
Ownership is expected to be concentrated, with just seven games on tap. That will mostly leave it up to the DFS player to determine how to differentiate themself. Making his return to Washington, John Wall is in a great spot against the Wizards and looks to be under-owned, with only 7.80% of rosters expected to have him on DraftKings. As of this writing, Wall looks like one the top options DFS players can look to for leverage tonight.
Averaging 26.1 DraftKings points per game, Wall should see a nice increase in playing time and usage with Reggie Jackson resting tonight, and he’s not getting nearly enough love. He is projected to be optimal 22.50% of the time on DraftKings and 32.20% of the time on FanDuel, and he offers strong leverage on both sites.

Aaron Gordon is another player flying way under the radar tonight. He is priced at $6,400 on DraftKings and $6,700 on FanDuel and projected for only 6.90% ownership on DraftKings and 5.10% on FanDuel, so he will be severely under-owned. Plus, Gordon is projected to be in the optimal lineup 10.10% of the time on DraftKings and 8.80% of the time on FanDuel. In a good spot at home against the fast-paced Jazz, Gordon should be far more popular than he is.
On the other side, Jordan Poole is rating poorly from a leverage perspective on DraftKings in Stokastic’s Boom Bust Tool and might be worth fading. At $6,400, Poole is projected to be 19.40% owned on DraftKings and has an optimal percentage of only 4.20%. At this affordable price point, it makes sense that Poole is getting love in a good spot against the Celtics, but other mid-range plays like Gordon and Wall are in better spots. It might be wise to stay away from Poole in tournaments.
Situations to Monitor
With seven games on tap, there are a few situations to monitor tonight. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have already been ruled out for tonight’s game against the Nets, putting everyone else on Brooklyn wildly in play in a great spot against Indiana. After missing last night’s game against the Kings, Donovan Mitchell remains questionable for the Cavaliers in a matchup with the Thunder. Lauri Markkanen also is questionable for Utah, while Terance Mann holds that same questionable designation for the Clippers.
