In NBA DFS and daily fantasy basketball as a whole, it is not as simple as rostering who we think the best play is. We have to consider the odds each individual player has of going off or busting. Nobody is a sure thing. With the Awesemo NBA DFS Boom vs. Bust Tool, we have our own odds to help us navigate range of outcomes for NBA daily fantasy. These are some of the NBA DFS picks on DraftKings and FanDuel that have the best NBA DFS projections of booming or busting according to our tool.

DraftKings + FanDuel Boom/Bust Projections | Feb. 15
NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Boom Candidates
Bradley Beal vs. Rockets: $9,800/$8,900
56.7% DraftKings Boom/51.5% FanDuel Boom
After Beal rested yesterday, I am expecting that we will see Russell Westbrook rest today. He is yet to play in both sides of a back-to-back this season, so my expectation is that Russ will rest even though he isn’t listed on the injury report. I will have to recalibrate if Westbrook plays, but as of now, this is not how I am approaching the slate. When Russ is off the court, everything runs through Beal for the Wizards. He has a 39.9% usage rate and scores 56.44 DraftKings points per 36 minutes in this situation.

Jarrett Allen vs. Warriors: $6,900/$6,700
35% DraftKings Boom/46.1% FanDuel Boom
We have another shakeup in the Cavaliers’ frontcourt. After trading for Allen as a part of the James Harden trade last month, it looks like Andre Drummond is getting shipped out of town. Reports indicate that Cleveland is looking to trade Drummond and he will not play for the Cavs until a trade is completed. I am interested to see what the Cavs can get in return for Drummond because they got him for next to nothing. At the deadline last year, Cleveland traded a late second round pick and two expiring contracts for Drummond. The DFS significance is that we can expect Allen to start and play big minutes which makes him a great play until his salary is adjusted.
Nerlens Noel vs. Hawks: $4,800/$4,400
24% DraftKings Boom/42.6% FanDuel Boom
Noel is one of my favorite value plays tonight because of the injury to Mitchell Robinson. Robinson fractured his hand last week and Noel started in his place last game. Noel didn’t light the world on fire but he played 32 minutes. He’s averaged around a fantasy point per minute for his career so getting over 30 minutes of Noel in a positive matchup against the Hawks should lead to around 30 fantasy points.
NBA Fantasy Picks: DraftKings + FanDuel Bust Candidates
Immanuel Quickley vs. Hawks: $4,900/$4,700
51.3% DraftKings Bust/46.9% FanDuel Bust
The Knicks have so many guards in their rotation that it’s hard to figure out the minutes on a nightly basis. The playing time was difficult to parse earlier in the season and then New York went and traded for Derrick Rose. This makes all the whole situation a fade for me going forward unless somebody gets hurt. These players have individual upside although it’s tough for me to back guys like Quickley, Alec Burks, Rose or Elfrid Payton on a large slate when the floor is so low.
